Bother [Chapter 19]

(Hunter's POV)

It's been two weeks since I've been here, this couch of the owl house is literally my nest right now either i like it or not, but i do feel better tho, i think i'll be able to walk just fine, and I gotta admit.. I've been pretty relaxed since I've got here, I don't have the guts to throw away everything around me, and i haven't even had a mental breakdown here once! Although i wonder what's happening in the emperor's coven right now, but.. I still have to go back, maybe another week I'll be fully healed and be able to go back there? Either way, I just hope uncle is doing fine with his curse.. only if that red gremlin didn't just straight up attacked me and waste her time on me I've would've been just fine by now.

I blinked a few times and cleared my thoughts of the emperor's coven, and I've just noticed that the owl lady is walking towards the living room with a mug on her hand.

"Hey nerd.." she said with almost no energy and then drinks her whatever she's drinking, I think it's apple blood? I don't know much about those stuff.

She'd shaken her head and looks at me with a skeptical looking face, I raised an eyebrow to her to basically ask what's wrong.

"Oh! Yeah, you've been sitting here staring at your feet for nearly a few minutes since I got here, what's bothering you?" She asked and spilled some of her apple blood from her mug to the floor.

"It's none of your business.." I rolled my eyes and looked away from her. Meanwhile she still kept with the skeptic look of hers.

"Again with the gloomy additude of yours! Just tell me what's bothering you, you'll feel way better when you've told someone about it" she smirked confidently and put her mug of apple blood on the table then putting both of her arms on her hips while looking at me.

I sighed and tried to put my feet away from the other half of the couch so that she could sit down with me, which she accepted and immediately sat.

"So..?" She asked, I stood silent for a moment but looked at her again, feeling hesitant.

She gave me a soft smile which brings the hesitation slowly going away, really slowly tho.

"It's just.. I. ." I've felt hesitating from what I want to say, it just doesn't feel right telling someone who's a complete enemy to the emperor, but.. she did let me stay in her house when I've totally done bad things to them.

"I've been thinking about my uncle" my face looks rather soft and sad at the same time when the word uncle appears, the owl lady's eyes widened but she'd became a bit more serious than she was before.

"What's with him?" She'd ask sounding soft, I don't know how to reply to it, it's just.. I felt guilty telling anyone, but.. I mean, they wouldn't know the emperor was my uncle, right?

"Forget it.." I've hesitated to give her more information about my personal life, surprisingly she lets go of it and stand up, which made me looked at her who was starting to walk up stairs. But she looked back at me and smiled softly,

"It's alright if you don't feel comfortable telling, but if you do need someone to talk to I'll be free and same with the rest of the bad girl coven! Also, I'll be waking up Luz.." her smile turning into a smirk at the mid sentence and let's out a gun looking body language (?) On her hand and started walking upstairs to wake the human up for school. Oh yeah! Hexside. Right, I don't know how I will come back there after that incident to be honest.

"I'LL BE GOING NOW EDAA!" She shouted on top of her lungs and went outside to the school called Hexside, who's also 'my school' apparently.

Now I'm stuck with the owl demon and a dog while the owl lady Is probably goofing around doing you know what.

(Luz's POV)

I walked up to the doors of the demonic school I've always wanted to be in, opening it and enters the school with students wondering and walking around to their class.

I saw Willow and Amity talking to eachother near the lockers, I'm glad they're becoming good friends like how they were before! I walked up to them to say hi which they immediately noticed my rainbow looking uniform.

"Hey Luz!" Ams says with a cheery voice on her tone, while Willow waving as a hi and putting a smile on her face.

we started walking to the front hallway of the school with talking about how was our weekend, I didn't tell them about the whole Hunter situation yet, not in public at least.

We were talking and talking until we walked pass by two girls, and overheard them gossiping about something, which made my eyes widened in surprise.

"Hey have you heard that the Golden Guard is missing?"

"Oh yeah! I've been seeing a couple posters about it, I wonder where he is!"
