It All Ends Here

Eden rushed into the studio before Abby began pyramid. They were nearly late, but Eden had to finish videoing an audition piece for a new up and coming film. They had only received the script the night before, so the mom and daughter duo had to scramble to get it done in time. Eden really wanted to get the role!

"Here we are in another studio, another week. We need to learn a new group routine. This is tough. We have to do it today and there are props. Now I want to reflect a little bit on the past two weeks. I keep telling you guys you have been given an amazing opportunity. You have been hand selected to go across the country and to learn and compete a new number each week, and your not stepping up to the plate" Abby said eyeing the girls.

"If you don't want to do it, there's probably a hundred other kids that would love to be in your shoes right now. So I need to see motivation, I want you to want to win. This is my reputation on the line, it's my name. But now it's also your names." Abby declared, gesturing to our head shots on the pyramid.

"Let's begin, on the bottom of pyramid this week is Paige, next.. Mackenzie, Nia then Chloe. on the second line we have Brooke, Eden and Maddie." Abby announced.

"Now Maddie, Eden and Chloe you will be doing a solo. Maddie and Eden you will be doing  a duet together, Brooke and Paige you will also be doing a duet. Everybody is in the group routine this week, even Mackenzie. Every single one of you is an important part of the puzzle, you all need to pull your weight in this routine. We need to win!" Abby said, emphasizing on the 'win'.

"Alright, let's begin rehearsing."

Eden went down into the splits. As they stretched the girls talked about the last few weeks and all the drama she had missed out on.

"Okay, ladies, the piece is called 'Beautiful'," Abby said whilst they finish their stretching. "It's not about how pretty you're gonna be in your costume, not how pretty your hair is, but what's on the inside. And it's about taking a good luck in the mirror.. not at what you see but at the internal window. " Seeing Mackenzie's confused expression Ms.Abby asks her if she understands.

"Uh huh" Mackenzie replies sheepishly. 

Eden giggles, she thought Mackenzie was so cute! Even if she was only slightly older than her.

"Yeh, it's a little deep" Abby agreed. "Now hold the mirror and cover your face". Abby and Gianna begin to teach the girls the choreography.

Three days to competition and Eden was back in the rented studio learning the group dance. As much as Eden loved to travel and compete, she couldn't wait until this season was over. 

After two hours the girls took a break. Abby brought the mom's into another room, to give reviews on their girl's progress. Maddie and Eden placed themselves beside the door inconspicuously. 

 "Let's start with Nia," they heard Abby say. "Work on her feet. How many times have we gone over this? It's.. It's like talking to that brick wall.She has to try harder." Maddie and Eden glance at one another, knowing the mom's wouldn't be too happy after this.

"Moving on to Chloe" Abby continues not waiting for the moms to complain. "She needs to work on her confidence. She still second guesses herself."

The girls were shocked when they heard Christi agree with her.

"Next, Brooke. I am disappointed in the group routine with the ability to comprehend, you saw it yesterday. She's thirteen years old and is not picking up the choreography faster than then nine year old's." Abby stated.
