Finley's POV:

Screams.

Yelling.

Shouting.

It sounded like a war was going on. All I could see was black, but I could hear everything. I tried to pry my eyes open with little to no luck. Sounds of guns shooting could be heard in the distance, a loud metallic sound caused me to jump and my eyes to fly open. I fell a couple of feet down face-first into the sand. I tried spitting out the sand, instead, I let out a violent scream when a sharp pain shot through my side.

"Hey! It's okay! It's okay." A man soothed me before he picked me up again. I looked frantically at my surroundings; bright lights shined down from a building. A huge ass building. The metallic sound continued to screech as a door began opening that led into the building. I saw kids running inside, being led by other men in the same suit as the man that carried me.

"Winnie!" I tried to shout when I saw him run inside, however, I just coughed dryly and no words came out.

The man led me inside after the rest of the gladers- or remaining gladers- and the door began to shut behind us.

"Finley!" Minho spoke in relief at the sight of me being awake, I did not feel relieved at the sight of him though. Seeing his face brought back the images of him throwing that spear into Gally's chest.

The spear that killed Gally.

"Back up." The man that held me pushed Minho away before continuing to walk off.

"HEY! Where are you taking her!" I heard Thomas shout. I tried to get out of the man's grasp, I was too weak to even move though. I could barely even move my head to look back at the gladers, straining my neck to only see a group of guards holding them back while they tried to get to me.

"FINLEY!"

"LET GO OF HER!"

"FIN!"

"NO!"

Their protests faded when the man opened a metal door with a key card, it flew upwards and he walked inside and down numerous, long halls. With each step he took, I could feel my eyes come closer to shutting.

"Stay awake." He told me in a low whisper. He had a faint, warm smile as he looked down at me. I tried my best to keep my eyes open, but once we walked into a white room with bright lights, he laid me down on a bed- an actual bed!- my eyes flew shut with the last sight of the friendly man and a women in a white lab coat walking towards me with a concern look glimmering in her chocolate eyes.

The last thought that crosses my mind was a sense of deja vu when I asked myself, Where am I?
