Third Person POV:
The sun was shining down on the destroyed and burnt surroundings that was once the Right Arm's Camp. Bodies scattered the ground, innocent people that all didn't deserve this brutal ending. They were supposed to leave today to go to the Safe Haven, but now? Now, half of them are gone. Either dead or taken by WCKD. They were so close to finally being safe, happy, and free from all the terrors and fears this horrid world holds. It angered Thomas that Teresa would betray them. Betray him. After everything they have been through and she just turns around and does this!
Thomas couldn't let WCKD win. He couldn't let WCKD have Minho, Fin, Aris, and Sonya. All those other kids too.
He needed to do something, no matter how dumb and stupid it may be, he had to do it. He packed a bag with some canned foods that he may or may have not stole from one of the crates. He headed back to the others who all sat staring into an abyss of defeat and sorrow.
"What do we do now?" Fry asked, breaking the tension and silence.
"Well, we pick up what is left of us. We stick to the plan, we get you kids to the safe haven." Vince explains.
"I am not going with you," Thomas states matter of factly, tossing his backpack over his shoulder.
"What?" Vince speaks out in confusion.
"I made a promise to Minho, I wouldn't leave him behind. I have to go after him and Fin." Thomas explains.
"Hey, kid. Look around you," Vince gestured to everything that was ruined and burnt to a crisp. "WCKD just kicked our ass. Think about where you're heading."
"I'm not asking anyone to come with me," Thomas mutters.
"Thomas, listen to me," Newt speaks up. "I've known Minho for... as long as I can remember. And I've known Fin since the day she came up in that box, they are my best friends, so if there is anyway we could help, trust me, I would be out there next to you. This, what you are talking about, is impossible." Newt tells Thomas.
"More like suicide," Jorge adds as he and Brenda walk towards the group, joining the conversation.
"Maybe. But, I know what I'm supposed to do now. It's not just about Minho and Fin. It's about all of us. It's about everyone WCKD has ever taken, everyone they will take. They will never stop... They'll never stop, so I'll stop them. I'm gonna kill Ava Paige." Thomas says with confidence. Everyone looks at him in admiration and with a new found hope and courage.
"I have to admit, I'd like some revenge." Harriet steps forward to Thomas.
"Well, it's a good speech, kid. So, what's your plan?" Vince asks, to which everyone looks towards Thomas expectantly, thinking he has a plan to get their friends, their family, and their well deserved revenge.
He didn't have a thoroughly thought plan to get his friends back. All he knew though, was that he would not stop until he got Finley, Aris, Sonya, and Minho back.
