There was a figure standing in a doorway on the other side of the room

There was a figure standing in a doorway on the other side of the room. She started to walk towards us. She walked in between the things that were tied to chains while they tried to jump at her. They tried to claw at her, they tried to bite her, but all failed due to the chains. And yet, she did not flinch once. She completely ignored them and continued to walk across the room until she stood in front of us.

Totally a badass. I dream to be her.

She had short black hair and beautiful dark eyes that shined in the dimmed light of the room they stood in. She's beautiful.

"You guys look like shit," she deadpans.

"Thank you?" I question. The badass girl looked over at me and slightly grinned. Her eyes scanned over my body before her gaze landed on the cloth that I held to my elbow.

"Come on. Follow me," she tells us and turns around to walk out the door she came from, though we did not move. She turns around to look at us again, "unless you want to stay here with them," she points to the things that are still trying to jump out at us.

"Considering it," I spoke. The badass girl chuckled before continuing walking between the chained-up zombie asses with ease. Thomas sighed before following her and the rest of us followed after Thomas.

I flinched every time one would try to jump out at me. It was like some haunted house shit, the only difference was there wasn't some nice person under the mask. In fact, there were no masks at all. One of the things jumped out at me again causing me to jump closer to Aris and grab his hand instinctively. Aris' eyes widened in surprise but did not let go of my hand.

We finally made it through the door, all in one piece. The badass girl then led us through the building, walking past many lit fires. Their flames would flicker and dance across the faces of the people that stood around them for warmth. Hammocks were hung and sleeping bags were sprawled out on the ground with people sleeping in them.

Some of the people that were here though looked angry. While walking by one man, he smiled at me and Teresa who had begun to walk beside me and Aris. As the man smiled, it showed off the black, rotten teeth that he had. I gripped onto Aris' hand tighter and I also could see that Teresa began to feel uncomfortable as well, as a few other men looking at the two of us with hunger.

The badass girl continued to lead us through the building, a few people following behind the group.

"Jorge, they're here," the badass girl informs an older man that listens to a radio system. The man turned around to look at the group, he had dark hair with some grey evident and his skin was like milk chocolate.

"Do you ever get the feeling the whole world is against you?" He asks.

Yes!

He walks towards a table and begins to pour himself a glass of water. I am practically drooling for that water right now.
