PoV: Blue

  Ring ring ring! My communicator was going off like crazy. Tails had already called about the situation. Eggman had launched another attack with a massive robot.

"Sonic I need you to stay out of the fight," I grabbed my bag with my emergency kit and got ready to leave, "I know you won't stay put, so if you show up, rescues only! You can’t make your injuries any worse or you won't be able to help search. Got it?"

"But you can’t just ask that of me! I’m not going to stay on the sideline.” Sonic put his hands on his hips.

"Fine then. Stay put in the house," I locked the door on my way out and left.

“Hey!” I heard him scream an objection from inside.

Damn it. I can't babysit and fight. At least this bought me some time to fight before he shows up. I just hope he doesn't get hit.
   
    
PoV: Sonic

He wasn’t going to keep me locked up in this house. I was going to help, whether he liked it or not.

But I was kind enough not to knock his door down, even though he locked me up, but used the broken window as my way out.

The light breeze that was breezing made me get tingles all over my body just because it was breezing against my back quills.

I will have to be careful with those. The lightest contact is going to hurt.

Figuring out where the battle was taking place wasn’t hard, I just had to follow the path of destruction.

  Blue was already attacking the robot with his team. They had severed one of its arms. 

"Obliterator bot! Destroy Sonic!" Eggman shouted orders even though he was losing the fight.

   Amy was helping everyone evacuate. Shads, I think, was fighting the robot with Sonic. They had the situation more under control than I expected. Knuckles was keeping the robot from destroying anymore buildings.

I went to help Amy out to not be in the way of Blue and Shads. If Knuckles was going to need help, I would back up but I thought he wouldn’t need it.

"Hi Sonic~" Amy smiled at me, "How are you liking our dimension?"

“Oh it’s nice. Not that much of a difference.” I stated. “Though Shadow is nicer, which I like.”

"You too huh? Tsk," she swung her hammer at a piece of rubble heading our way, "Watch it Knuckles!"

"It had to go somewhere!" He shouted, "I'd rather have you destroy it than it hit someone!"

“He has a point.” I said, agreeing with Knuckles.

"CURSE YOU RODENTS!!!" Eggman snapped. His obliterator bot had collapsed, "I'll be back! With a more powerful robot!!!"

"Nice, Sonic beat him," Amy put her hammer away.

I went over to the duo. “You did well.” I complimented them. “And I didn’t interfere in the battle, you happy?”

"Yes, I'm happy, " Blue was holding his arm, "I'm gonna head home, I'll come back in a little while to help clean up."

"Tsk," Shads looked annoyed, just like Shadow always did.

“Is everything okay?” I asked.

"He got careless, it was for a split second but it was enough for the robot to take a shot," Shads replied, "From the direction he left, he’ll be back by tonight."

“Hm, alright then.” I said. “Let’s clean up, shall we?”

"We should. This'll take all day to clean," Shads turned to everyone, "Let's start cleaning!"

"Right!" The team responded as they began cleaning.

“You really have to clean up Eggman’s mess?” I asked Shads. In our world we had an organization that took care of that.

"We have a clean up and reconstruction crew, but we get rid of the robots in case they're still active," he explained, "The crew will be here soon."

“Ah, I see.” 

This world was pretty much like ours, but with tiny differences. It didn’t feel like home but I felt at ease at least, unlike when we had been sent to Earth.

“I want to say sorry for you having to deal with me and Shadow fighting.” I apologized to Shads. “It kinda got out of hand.”

"I understand. Shadow has more emotions than you might think, that's the only reason he got out of hand. It's also the reason Blue wanted to fight instead. He wanted to avoid your present injuries, and let Shadow blow off steam. I need to check on him, he's been home during the fight," Shads was looking around, "I don't know when Blue will be back yet."

“It’s my Shadow and I’m not letting him hurt anyone else.” I felt a bit embarrassed by what I was going to say next. “And thank you.. for what you did for me. Especially with how I was.” I smiled nervously.

"It's alright. I've been through lots of fights like that, back when I had a worse temper," he checked his communicator as we started heading back after getting the robot to the dump.

“I have something I wanted to ask you.” I spoke, walking beside him. “Sonic told me about you teaching him how to use his chaos energy efficiently. Could you maybe.. teach me?”

"I can. Though it may not be exact to your own. I can teach you until your Shadow takes over," he checked his communicator again.

I was curious why he was checking his communicator constantly but I didn’t want to pray.

“I would be very grateful if you did.” I gave him a small smile before it faded. “Though Shadow is never going to teach me. I would have more luck asking Knuckles.”

"If you can get him to open up to you, he will," Shads explained, "Believe me, he will one day."

“Both of you keep saying that, but I don’t think it will.” I shook my head. “Shadow is going to stay how he is, but at least I got to see how friendly he could be.” I said, referring to Shads. “And I must say, I like you for it.”

"I was just like him. Fighting Blue every chance I got. I nearly killed him once… I hold a lot of regrets from those battles. Each time he forgave me. It's because of him that I became this way. I can never repay him enough for it,"

“Awe, that’s very sweet of you.” I smiled. “You seem to like him a lot.”

"It's more than that. I respect him more than anything-" Bzz… his communicator went off, "Shit… Blue is spending the night at the hospital. You're staying with me tonight."

“Is it that bad?” I asked, concerned about my counterpart.

"A minor surgery for the muscle tissue, after that he only needs a few stitches. I'll bring him home tomorrow morning," he placed a hand on my shoulder, "Chaos control."

Shadow was on the couch. He looked at us and his face showed disgust. “I’m leaving.”
