PoV: Shads

  I remained still, it was hard to detect them with how far they've gone. Once I had their general direction I ran towards them.

“Can he stop being grumpy for once?!” I stopped when I heard Sonic's voice. He was on the ground and holding his ankle.

"I'm guessing you found him," I walked up to him and knelt down, "You look injured, did you fight?"

"Yeah I found him.” Sonic grumbled. “And I didn’t fight, I just.. misplaced my foot.”

"Blue does that sometimes," I picked him up, "Do you want to go to the hospital? Blue can patch you up instead if you'd like."

“No, I’m fine.” Sonic snarled.

"You can't walk," I adjusted him, "Which way did he go?"

"He ran off that-” Sonic stopped midsentence. “No, I’m not telling you. You have already done enough.”

"You really believe me loving Blue is that bad?" I knew it was information that was hard for them to comprehend. I knew Sonic was listening when I was on the phone with Blue. Shadow was well aware already, it wasn't a surprise that Sonic knew so soon.

“That’s not it. It’s just that you might have kept your mouth shut because now Shadow is... is unstable!”

  I sighed and adjusted him, "He'll come back on his own soon. Once the tracker for the emerald pieces is done we'll put it together and get you guys home," I started walking back to the house, "Blue and I won't show our affection in front of you if it makes you uncomfortable."

"I will find somewhere else to stay.” Sonic mumbled, “I liked you but after what you did to Shadow, I don’t! He may be my rival but no one messes with his feelings!”

"Sonic. My relationship with Blue has been going on for more than two years. Our third anniversary is around the corner. Shadow's feelings have no effect on our relationship. We only kept it private to respect you two. If it makes you that uncomfortable I can rent a room for you in a hotel. Just let me drop you off at the hospital at least so someone can bandage your ankle," I shifted him in my arms one more time.

“I don’t mind it. You can do whatever you want. I just don’t like how it affects Shadow. And knowing you’re together.. I just.. I don’t know..” Sonic’s ears flattened. “All I wanted was to get close to him and you two are close, closer than I ever intended to be with him..”

"Sonic, we might share similar faces but are still different mobians. You've seen it yourself. Blue is soft and gentle. He's stubborn but is the sweetest hedgehog anyone can meet. He's risked his life to save countless lives and doesn't care how hurt he gets so long as everyone is safe. I don't think I've ever seen one of the animals Eggman uses in his machines hurt. He's an amazing hero who fights for what he believes," I hadn't realized I got sucked into remembering everything I loved about Sonic. I quickly changed back to reassuring him, "I'm sure you're a great hero in your dimension, but you don't have that same gentleness he has. From seeing you, I can tell you're more energetic and eager to fight than he is. You're different fighters with different battles. You share a face, but you are your own self regardless. The same goes for Shadow, we look alike, but he and I are entirely different."

"Wow, you really do love him. I mean, you said so but the way you speak about him really does show that you love him.” Sonic looked rather shocked when I talked about my boyfriend. “And yes, we are different. That’s because of what we’ve been through. That’s different. I never had to keep in mind that I had to save small critters. I immediately panicked and wanted to protect all of them as soon as I realized what happened here. Back in our dimension Eggman doesn’t send loads of robots at us, just one or a few strong ones. I would say our Eggman is more evil.” He went on talking about their dimension. “From what I have seen my- your friends are different in slight ways as well. But you and Shadow are the biggest difference. You’re more soft and gentle, and rather caring. You don’t have as much of a temper and are not such a big emo. You’re calm and relaxed. You’re like the complete opposite of each other. And right now, you’re carrying me.” I could have sworn I saw a hint of blush on Sonic’s cheeks. “Shadow would have dropped me a long time ago, heck, he wouldn’t have even carried me to begin with.”
