PoV: 3rd Person

Sonic yawned as he woke up in his bed. It was this dimension's hero who had just woken. He fixed his quills, and went through his morning routine. He walked downstairs and heard light snoring. The short hedgehog peaked into the guest room and found only the second Shadow sleeping in the bed. His dimensional copy was gone.

"Damn it, I should have known he'd run off," the short azure picked up his home phone and made a call to his partner.

"Blue, it's too early for this…" the ebony's voice was raspy as though he had just woken up, "I haven't caffeinated yet."

"Yeah… I lost the other me…" Sonic released an anxious laugh into the phone.

"Damn it Sonic, I knew you wouldn't be able to handle it," the ebony groaned and got up.

"Hey! I can handle this plenty! I just need a babysitter for little Shadow," the azure watched the guest room door.

"Little Shadow? You watch him. I'll handle the missing Sonic, alright Blue?" The ebony hung up and took off, his first place to look at Green Hill.

"I can handle it plenty," Sonic huffed and slammed the phone down, "Hey! Chibi Shadow! I'm taking breakfast orders now!" Sonic called as he walked to the kitchen and grabbed a pan, "Chibi Shadow!"

“What did you just call me..?” A groan came from the sleepy ebony hedgehog as his eyes fluttered open. He wasn’t happy with that the other hedgehog had disturbed his sleep.

"Chi-bi Sha-dow. Now, what do you want for breakfast? No you can't only have coffee," the azure set a pan on the stove and took out a carton of eggs.

The dark agent narrowed his eyes at the azure one at hearing that nickname then scowled at him. He huffed and put it aside, for now. “Nothing. Just leave me to die.” He muttered and buried his face in the pillow.

"No can do," the azure called back and set the pan down. He walked into the guest room and pulled the blanket off the taller male, "You either pick or I do. You can nap after food."

Shadow gave no reaction except for a growl. Even if the other did make something, he wasn’t going to eat it.

"You're just as stubborn as Shads is," the azure huffed and smirked, "I guess my last cup of coffee is all mine then~ Too bad. It's the extra dark roast and it does well with morning salmon."

“If you will drink that. If you’re like Faker, you won’t like it.” Shadow replied.

"But I'm not your faker am I? I belong to Shads," he continued to tease his partner's dimensional copy in order to get him out of bed.

Shadow huffed and turned away from him. This Sonic was getting on his nerves, just like his Sonic did, but a bit different.

"Oh, I'll add some sugar into the mug so it's not so bitter," Sonic left, confident that Shadow would soon follow. He was wrong. Sonic sat alone in the kitchen with a hard boiled egg and bitter coffee he never wanted, "See, I can handle it… idiot…"

The other Sonic had been running around the, to him, new world. It looked the same, but some places were moved, not much but a little. He had come to a halt at his favorite place, Green Hills. It looked exactly the same. He was glad that his favorite place was the same.

Since he was there now anyway, he decided to have a bit of fun. Going through loops, tunnels and anything that was around. His blue streaks were spotted by this world's Shadow.

"Still predictable," Shadow scoffed, "Sonic, you suck at babysitting."

Shadow took off and quickly caught up with the second Sonic as his guard was down.
