POV - 3rd Person

Thunder and Lightning surged outside as rain poured down as if the very sky were crying out. Silenius had just finished the dinner set out for him by the staff of his home and had been walking towards his room. He had lived in a fairly large house comprising of about four stories. It was located in the Upper Class division of Vale. This had marked the seventh day since Sil had learned of his father's passing. Once in his room, he had changed into his nightly wear but before he could sit down upon his bed he had heard a knock at his door.

Sil: Come in

A blond haired Woman who looked to be in her mid 30s had opened the door. She had donned a maid outfit with her golden blond hair tied in braids

Angela: How are you feeling master Silenius?

Her voice had sounded soft almost apologetic.

Sil: I'm fine. Also I've told you before you don't have to call me master.

Angela: Well what would you have me call you then?

Sil: My name would be fine

Angela giggled slightly.

Angela: Master Silenius, it would be very improper for me to address you by name alone considering the fact that you are not only my employer but the employer of everyone in this house

Sil: You all were employed by my father not me

Angela: Yes that may be true

She had paused for a second looking to the side before continuing

Angela: But master Sephistis is no longer around and as his only child all of his belongings now are owned by you

This was infact true since ever since the passing of Sil's father, all the Lien and property belonging to Sephistis Ombradio had transferred to his son Silenius Ombradio.

Sil: It still feels weird for someone who's not only older than me but to have also had a hand in raising me call me master. Master is what everyone here had called my father. For everyone to address me by that title doesn't exactly feel right since it implies I've become him. It's stupid to think of myself as anything like him.

Sil had sat down. Angela had come a bit closer to him before speaking.

Angela: Why do you say that?

Sil: Father was considered a god among huntsman. I've never once heard of him losing a serious battle. He knew exactly what he wanted to do ever since he was a child. Compare that to me. I don't even know what to do at this point. Before father had died he would tell me stories of his travels.

Of course this had only happened on the rare occasions that he was home. Sil adjusted his position to lie down

Sil: He would tell me how he loved his job and that one day I would find something I loved doing.

Angela tilted her head in confusion

Angela: But master Silenius, I thought you had loved fighting?

Sil: I'm good at it but that doesn't mean I enjoy it. Well to be exact I guess I don't hate it. It just feels boring to me. I've only ever enjoyed going at it with father but I guess thats no longer an option

Angela: What are you implying?

Sil: I don't know if I want to continue on the path of strength. My goal had originally been to defeat father but now that he's gone I'll never get that chance so whats the point

Angela: I'm no expert in combat. Nor do I understand the warriors mentality but what I can say to you as someone whose watched you develop, don't just give up on something you've been practicing for your entire life
