Summer: Didn't your parents ever tell you it's rude to keep a lady waiting

Sil: To be fair I had no idea you were going to be here

I unlocked the door allowing us both in.

Sil: Make yourself at home I guess

Summer: Your dorm looks the exact same as mine.

Sil: What did you expect

Summer: Well I thought since you had money your dorm would have a bunch more room.

I chuckled a bit.

Sil: While I do agree the Headmaster scammed me you have to remember that while our dorms are the same size I don't have to share it with anyone. This space is all mine.

Summer took this as an invitation to lay on one of the vacant beds.

Sil: Yeah just pretend it's your dorm

Summer: No shame in getting comfy

Sil: So straight to the point why did you lie to your team?

Summer: I said I would tell you not them

SIl: Do you not trust them?

Summer waited a second before responding.

Summer: it's not that I don't trust them it's just this isn't exactly something I like talking about especially not in a group setting

Sil: Oh...well I'm all ears

Summer's face became a serious one that I've hardly ever seen her wear.

Summer: Silenius are we actually best friends

Sil: Well that's not how I thought we'd start this conversation

Summer: I have to know before I say anything

Sil: Aren't you always going on about how good of friends we are?

Summer: Yeah I'm always saying it but you've never once actually said it yourself. When we first met it seemed more like I annoyed you than we we were actually friends but then after initiation you got a lot nicer I guess what I mean is that are we actually good friends or do you just go along with it?

I motioned towards my bed before laying on it. I took a pause before answering

Sil: I grew up very sheltered from the outside world. I told you before I didn't really have many friends growing up. I guess it's because I didn't really see a need to keep friends around. I had everything I needed already. When we met at that dust store I'll admit that I thought you were annoying. I gave you my scroll number because I felt sorry for you but during initiation when I fought that Griffon for the first time in my life I actually felt afraid that I might die.

I gave a light smile before continuing.

Sil: But it turned out that annoying girl that kept following me around calling me her friend saved me. It wasn't just a casual save like I did for you either. You intentionally got yourself injured. I was shocked at the fact that you came back to fight an impossible enemy just because you wanted to help me. I guess thats why I started being nicer to you. It's hard to explain but I guess to answer your question you're my closest friend

Summer looked a bit happier to hear that.

Sil: This was supposed to be you opening up to me not the other way around

Summer: You did say you'd answer any question I asked you

Sil: I'm starting to feel conned....

Summer: Fine fine I'll start. Remember you can't speak of word of this to anyone
