An Unexpected Duel

Raven and I had arrived in the commercial area of Vale and begun to walk around. I decided to strike up a conversation

Sil: So what are you gonna use the dust for?

Raven gave a sharp response

Raven: My weapon what else?

Sil: 'Ok I'll admit that it was a stupid question but come on' So how does your weapon work?

Raven: I hit things with it and they get cut.

I started to get irritated

Sil: 'Calm down Silenius, remember she has daddy issues' I meant specifically-

Raven: It's not strategically wise to give out information on your abilities, I thought you would know that.

Sil: 'Maybe appealing to her sense of pride will yield results' Yeah but your weapon looked really cool, so I was just wondering how it worked...

Raven: I know it's cool, I designed it.

Sil: 'Why did I decide to come here with her' Anyone ever told you that you're not the easiest to talk too?

Raven: Then don't talk to me.

Sil: What was the point in us even going here together if you were just going to give basic responses?

Raven: I didn't invite you, you invited yourself remember?

Sil: Is this how you talk to your teammates as well?

Raven: What does it matter?

Sil: You know you'll never make any friends here like that.

Raven: I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to get stronger.

I waited before responding

Sil: That's a shame, I thought we could be good friends.

Raven gave a smirk

Raven: Like you and Summer?

Sil: Ouch, you don't hold back do you....

I noticed that we had arrived at a dust shop. After walking in I saw a variety of dust including the type I was looking for, but strangely enough there were only a couple of crystals left. Raven and I had split up in the store to collect what we needed. I collected all the ice dust that the store had remaining and went to the register to buy them. After that, I collected my bags and waited outside for Raven to finish. Once she finally came, I noticed she had an irritated look on her face which now that I think about it is not much different from her regular face. I decided to ask her about it even though I knew she would give a basic answer or ignore the question.

Sil: Everything ok?

Raven: Yes.

Sil: 'Sharp as always' Ok I guess, I got what I wanted here so I'm ready to head back

I showed her my bags with ice dust crystals in them.

Raven: IS THAT ICE DUST?

I had a confused look on my face due to her sudden outburst

Sil: Yeah, why?

Raven: SO YOU'RE THE ONE WHO BOUGHT ALL OF THE ICE DUST THAT STORE?!?!

Sil: Well yeah ice dust is really essential to my fighting style and money isn't really an issue for me.

Raven: Great thanks now I have to go to another shop.

Sil: I'm sure other stores will have some, I mean what are the chance that they'll all be out?
