Sil: You know, when I agreed to come to Beacon I never thought I'd spend multiple nights just watching a dust store

Summer and I were on top of a nearby building while we awaited our thief. It drew late into the night as my mood began to worsen.

Sil: He better show up. This is like the fifth time we've done this

Summer: Have some faith. I'm sure tonight will be the night our guy shows up

I rolled my eyes before responding.

Sil: You totally haven't said that before. I'm starting to regret backing you on this idea

Flashback (A Couple Weeks Prior)

Raven: Saying we're going to catch a thief is fine and all but how are we actually going to do it

Qrow: Yeah, we need a way to find the perpetrators location

Tai: Like a hideout?

Qrow: Yeah something like that. We'd also be able to find some of the stolen dust and return it

Raven: Or we could keep it for ourselves

Tai mouthed the word "Really" while Qrow simply sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose.

Sil: Wait that was an option?

Summer/Qrow: NO

Sil: It was just a question.....

Raven: A valid one I might add....

Summer: ANYWAYS, back on topic I think it would be easier to try and find their next target rather than try to find their hideout

Tai: Why's that?

Summer: Think about it. The Vale Police Department isn't stupid, If stopping this person was as easy as just following their footprints back to a hideout they would have done it already

Sil: Making a pretty big assumption there....

Summer continued unfazed by my comment.

Summer: That must mean that this person is covering their tracks effectively

Sil: Or the VPD is just lazy

Summer: What do we know about the thief's targeting MO?

Sil: 'And I'm being ignored'

Raven: Well judging by the fact that stores are usually out of dust by Tuesday and they restock on Monday mornings that must mean that the culprit's striking time is in that window

Tai: Well that makes our job easier

Sil: And I'll make it even easier. This person will most likely strike at night and their fighting ability is either low or they'll have a bunch of throw away minions or both

Qrow was the first to question my hypothesis.

Qrow: And how'd you come to that conclusion

Tai: 'I can't tell if thats motivated or not'

Sil: I stand by my statement earlier that the VPD is either really stupid or really lazy but I do have to give this person credit. They haven't been blatantly obvious about there operation.

Tai: I mean I guess but how do you know they aren't that strong?

Summer: Yeah are you just assuming?

Sil: The person here clearly knows the schedule of dust restock meaning they have to know that striking in the morning will guarantee the most amount of dust. So why not do that?
