The next day, Roman walked over to Patton's room and knocked on the door. It only took seconds for Patton to answer, upbeat and excited as usual. "Did you bring the story?" Patton asked excitedly as he let Roman in. Roman nodded, waving his hand and having the stack of papers appear in his hand. "Before I continue reading this, I want to explain the reason I didn't want to read it." Roman began as Patton closed the door behind them.
"Oh?" Patton prompted, conjuring a couch for them to sit on. "As you know, Disney movies tend to have romantic storylines between the main characters." Roman began, fidgeting with the papers as he sat down. "Yeah, so?" Patton replied, sitting beside Roman with an oblivious look. "And we're the main characters, or at least the main characters are based off of us." Roman hinted, hoping Patton would put the pieces together. Patton gasped, and looked at Roman excitedly. "Did you make us love interests?" He asked, causing Roman to sigh. "Yes, but, not... I didn't make new characters for them. Again, I didn't think you guys would be reading this. Maybe you, but not the others." Roman explained.
It took a moment for Patton to put the pieces together, brows furrowed as a headache developed from all the gear turning. "Oh, you put us with each other?" Patton asked, realization dawning into him. "Yeah..." Roman admitted. "Oh okay, I think I get it now, I can see why you'd be nervous about that... Who's my love interest? If I have one that is." Patton asked excitedly. "Logan." Roman admitted, chuckling nervously as Patton froze up.
"Patton? You okay? I can change it if that bothers you, I mainly meant for it to bug Lo-" Roman began before getting cut off. "How did you know I liked Logan?" Patton questioned, causing a long moment of stunned silence between them. "Actually... I didn't until now. I thought he had feelings for you." Roman admitted, causing Patton to stare blankly into space. "Patton?" Roman prodded, afraid he broke the poor side. "Huh? Oh, sorry... I was just thinking..." Patton murmured, running a hand through his hair before looking at Roman curiously. "Do you really think Logan likes me?" He asked before rubbing his arm.
"I don't know for sure, it's mainly a guess, but I'm usually right about these things." Roman assured him with a grin. "Alright... Well I'm excited to see what you wrote! Who's your love interest? I know you wouldn't write a Disney story about yourself without-" Patton began as Roman summoned his courage to answer the question.
"Virgil." He forced the answer out, bracing himself as Patton's eyes widened. Patton slowly began to squeal in excitement, going into a coughing fit from his excitement. "Patton, Patton, calm down." Roman panicked, rubbing Patton's back as he began to breathe. "You like Virgil?" Patton cheered, eyes shining in excitement.
"Shh, keep it down. Yes, I like Virgil. That's why he was the last person I wanted to read this." Roman muttered, groaning as he rubbed his face with his hands. "Oh... Ooooh. I'm really sorry Roman, I should have known better." Patton realized as he rubbed Roman's back. "It's fine... Want me to read the next chapter? It's mostly just a series of you getting us in trouble for talking bad about each other or not taking care of ourselves." Roman asked with a chuckle. "Yes!" Patton cheered excitedly, causing Roman to chuckle as he waved a hand, finally putting the papers into a binder before opening it up to the page he needed.

Roman yawned, stretching his arms as he awoke and climbed out of his tent. He saw Patton awake, being taught by Dominic how to cook breakfast with the fire as he had the past few mornings they were travelling. Patton seemed to be doing it more independently this time, which caused Roman to smile. He had come to admire the King that had been a stranger to him until now, Patton instantly treating Roman as if he were his own son despite barely knowing him. "Ah! Roman! You're awake!" Patton cheered, admiring the red hair and blue eyes that he had been given. "That disguise looks great on you kiddo!" He added as Roman walked over to the fire pit. "Thanks. Remy changed it as thanks for rescuing them." Roman replied as he sat down and Patton handed him a plate.
