Part to meet

From Arizona to New york.
Driving through cities with Tammy is probably one of the most fun things to do for Kai.
They had taken pictures together and of monuments that they had passed along way of course with some nature shots and pictures of strangers they'd met.
One old lady had been awesome, she was traveling with her kid and grandkids.
She thought they were a couple and preceded to tell them of her relationship a long time ago with a woman and another budding romance with her female neighbor that her kid had put on hold with this trip.
She was sweet and kinda forthright which Tammy enjoyed with her zero filter.
Kai chuckled as she went through the pictures of the granny and her family.
They'd slept at a motel after Tammy had gotten stomach ache with all the food she mixed.
Photos uploaded to her photography account on IG. She packed up their bags and waited for Tammy to finish bathing.
Few more hours and they'd be in New york.
She'll get to the campus first to sign in and leave their stuff then maybe visit Richard and her siblings.
Siblings so surreal.
And there's Zoe. They hadnt talked to each other this whole time.
Maybe she was mad or not.
If nothing came out of them, Kai promised herself that the least she can do is make sure the girl is safe.
"Tammy hurry up will you!"
"I'm coming! I'm coming!"
"There isn't that much to do. You can doll up when we  get there." Tammy came out and struck a pose by the bathroom door.
"I have to look good."
Kai just raised a single brow and shook her head. "Make sure you have everything including your water bottle."
"sir yes sir."
"Childish."
They checked out the motel and continued their drive.
Finding parking at the school dorms was easier than Kai expected. They could see other students carrying boxes with helping parents or friends. Tammy looked like she was about to vibrate in her seat with how excited she was. A bit bummed that Kai had a room at the boys dorm but she understood why.
Unpacking was easy for Kai because she was organised. The boys looked at Tammy with sex me eyes as she accompanied Kai to her room. Her roommate was a small cute nerd with big brown eyes behind big glasses.
"Hie. I'm Kai." He blushed red when Kai said hie to him and introduced herself. "Hello I'm Lee." Tammy snickered as she watched him turn into tomato.
Kai helped Tammy arrange her room and some girls kept looking at her and Tammy was having a blast showing her who's most likely to be a whore, not straight and a sweetheart.
"You do know that some people arent what they appear to be."
"I know that. I'm just saying thats the vibe I'm getting. I'm gonna make so much money selling your phone number."
"Tammy dont You dare!!"
"But they all want it. Its a business opportunity."
"I'll hang you upside down and shake you."
"No!! You wouldn't!"
"Sell my number and we'll see."
"Meanie."
Kai winked at her. She stepped outside the room and texted Austin. People looked at her as they passed some girls waved at her shyly and some just outright stared at her, trying to figure her out. Her face had a feminity to it but she came off as masculine especially with her height and build. Her chest looked more built than boobs.
She winked at a kid who looked like the younger version of her sister and mother, that family has some strong genes. The little girl stuck her tongue out at her and Kai made a funny face at her. They kept that exchange going for a bit neither of them noticed Tammy and the child's sister filming them.
The girl's name was Heather and the little one was Helen. They became fast friends. Helen and Kai got atttached fast. The group exchanged numbers and went their separate ways after Helen got Kai to pinkie promise to call and text her.
"Tammy dont forget to carry your pjs we arent coming back today."
"I did. Including the change of clothes for tomorrow."
"Good."
"Can't wait to meet your dad. Is he hot?"
"Shut up. He made me what do you think?."
"Ohhh Kai!!!"

The twins watched Zoe buzz around getting her stuff for school. She got lucky her place was still available and so was the scholarship she had been offered.
"Okay you nitwit. Kai texted she's in NY right now."
"Oh shit okay. Ummm what do i do now?"
"How should i know,"
Aly was having a blast looking at tgeir clueless selves.
"I remember a certain someone saying she will never have to impress a girl."
"Aly your sister is not 'a girl' she's a whole woman. And besides I'm not trying to impress her just you know not look like a bum."
"She already knows you are a cute bum Zee. Stop stressing so much."
"Thanks Aly."

Zee signed up for a dorm room knowing she couldn't stay at home. She didn't know who her roommate was, for a second she imagined Kai was her roommate and almost had a meltdown.
Austin had offered for her to stay with them but she couldn't accept, they were already doing a lot for her.
She thought of her mom, what would she be like right now. Would she be crying and clinging to her or rechecking all her stuff to make sure she has everything?. Zee missed her mom. She wiped the stray tear that threatened to roll down her cheek.
Her face was still bruised but looked way better.
Most of her stuff was moved into her dorm room. She hoped she wouldn't have another run in with her stepdad before school started. She couldn't have another black bruise.
Few more months. Just a bit longer and she can be free.
Austin came back in the room to get her.
"Come on you. We gotta go celebrate."
"Where are we going?"
"Its not a party. We are gonna have a pizza day and pj party at home."
"Thats so childish. Count me in."
They cackled like children as they chased each other through the halls side stepping other arriving students.
