I jumped in and caught a police cruiser before it hit a cop. "I'm glad you're not one of those cops that rides a horse." I said, tossing the car to the side while cops shot at the man that caused the car to tumble. He flinched, but the bullets disentegrated before they hit him, like he had a force field around him. I jumped on another car, facing the man wearing a hoodie. "Yo sparkles!" I called, noting his electric blue skin. "Hey, how ya doin'?" I asked. "It's you?" He returned. "Yea I know it's me, who are you?" I asked.

He stepped forward, sending electricity into the grate. "You don't remember me?" He asked. "No, should I?" I returned, watching the electrified grate reach to the stairs full of people. "I walked into the street, the Sand was about to crush me. You saved me. You said you needed me." He ranted. "That's right, you're the guy with the blueprints." "Yes." "Yes, I remember you, you're my eyes and ears. What's your name again?" I asked.

I began to walk towards him. "How could you forget me?" "Oh, I do- I know it, don't tell me-" "It's Max." He said. "Is it Max?" "Yes. "I'm sorry I didn't recognize you with the- you look different. How are you?" I asked. "I don't know what's going on with me." He said. "I can see that, I believe you." "It's strange. I got so much anger." "I can see that. I can see you don't want to be here. I can see you're scared. I can see you don't know what's happening to you. I can see you don't want to hurt anybody." I ranted.

I needed to keep him calm, still too many bystanders were here. "I don't want them shooting me-" "They're not gonna shoot you." I said, turning to the cops. "You guys, this is my buddy Max, I told you about Max. No one shoots at Max." I ordered. "Why should we listen to you?" A cop asked. "You lied to us." Another one said. "It's just you and me talking, whoa-whoa. Stay right there." I said, Max almost stepped on the grate again.

The cop's distrust didn't help. "Just be careful, the grate, 'cause of the electricity." I explained. "I just wanted everyone to see me." He admitted. "How about you come with me, go somewhere we'll talk. Away from all these people, okay?" I asked. "Yeah, yes." He muttered. He stepped on the grate, electricity passed between it and his hands, a shot rang out and Max flinched.

I yelled for the cops to hold their fire. Max struck at the sniper that shot him, sending the lightning towards him. I webbed his hand down, the electricity traveled up the web into my shooter, sending me flying into a car. My web shooter was fried, a screen began to fall from the building, and I pulled the person about to get crushed by it away, using my remaining shooter.

The people started to cheer, and heckle Max. He got angry, "Stay with me, Max." "You set me up." "No, I didn't set you up." I pleaded. "You lied to me." "No, I'm trying to help, let me help you." Max drove his hands into the grate, shooting electricity at me, I dodged, but it was headed for the stairs. I flipped back, the cop car I was standing on earlier following me.

I saw people reach for the metal handrails, the ones that would shock them. I shot my web shooter, using my thumb to split the web to my left and right, stopping the car. As I flipped backwards I webbed the hands of the two people, pulling them away from the electricity as it flooded the rail. I landed at the top of the stairs, people began to run away as the electricity subsided.

Max blasted me, and I dodged over the railing. I began to swing, and I grabbed a fire hydrant, swinging it over my head to hit Max, but he hit me first. I flew into a building, and fell to the ground, crushing a telephone box. Max grabbed two of the main wires and stuck them against his chest, overpowering the whole circuit. Everything in Times Square shut down, and it was almost pitch black.

Until a shockwave sent out, crushing all the windows and making all the screens fall as people scrambled for cover. Electro began to shoot at them. I sprayed him down with a fire hose. "Oh, alright that's enough." I said. I high fived the firefighters who helped out, "Nice work fellas. Pleasure doing business with you." I said, handing back the hose.

I swung over to Gwen. "England?" I asked. "Really?" I walked away when she couldn't answer me. I went home and took off my suit. I sat on my couch and began to flick through TV channels. Two kids nerding out about me, I let it play while I looked through pictures of me and Gwen on my phone. I tossed it aside, not wanting to see anymore.

Luke POV

I was at my desk, I saw in the reflection the mark on my neck, I pressed it and flinched, the device I was holding fell onto the table, activating it. I opened it, files my dad created. There was a file on an enhanced combat suit that made you a superhuman. I searched more, finding a video of my dad and another scientist, talking about cross species genetics.

Y/N POV

I began to work on making my web shooters electricity proof with batteries. The first attempt shocked me and the battery exploded. "We're gonna need a bigger battery." I mumbled. I sized up… a lot, and boom. Again and again, and now it's on fire. I took an extinguisher and put it out. The car battery was still sparking, so I sprayed it. I worked on it, until I fell asleep on the ceiling.
