Y/n POV

I watched from my perch. Sandman formed in front of Electro, I saw them talking, then Electro went back to work, Sandman patrolling.

As I watched, Sandman swung at me, knocking me towards Electro. Electro zapped me and I fell into one of the giant utility poles. I crashed down, feeling a surge in my strength. "Your buddy told me you were dead, how he trapped you under a building." Electro taunted, lowering to my level as Baker formed next to him. "Come on, Spiderman. You gonna fight or you just gonna stand there?" I closed my eyes.

I let him taunt me. "Come on, Spiderman." He yelled, I let myself prepare. "FIGHT ME! COME ON, SPIDERMAN!" He yelled. "With great power…" I whispered, I opened my eyes and ran at them. Sandman knocked me into another pole. I stood up and shot my webs. Electro caught them and electrocuted them, sending it into my own hands, shocking me. I screamed in pain, trying to let go, but my body wouldn't let me.

When he seized I fell to my knees, and Marko created a giant hammer. He crashed it down on me. I screamed again. And again, each time he delivered a blow to my body. When he seized I was on the ground, doing my best not to let them see me cry from the pain. Electro walked up to me, pulling my mask from my head. I looked at his electric blue face, right into his eyes.

He smiled at me. "Gonna cry?" He stood up. "You hear that, Flint? Spiderman's gonna cry." I stood up and tried to revolt, but Electro knocked me back down, blasting me. He lifted me into the air with his lightning, I felt it burning me from the inside out. I screamed, and I felt myself dying. My life flashed before my eyes. "Y/n, don't slip away. You're not finished yet. You have to end this. Finish what you started!" Peter yelled at me in my head.

Electro dropped me, and I fell, but I landed on my knee. I stood up slowly. I ran at Electro. He blasted me, I dodged around it, shooting a web at one of the grid poles. I landed another one mid air and used them to launch at Electro. Sandman formed in front of him. In the air I flipped, holding out my fist, drawing the electricity from inside me and blasting it into Marko.

I went right through Marko, flipping back so my feet connected with Electro's jaw. I grabbed Electro, my arms still lighting up. "Heheh, you feel it don't you. The electricity, the power. We're not so different, neither of us were noticed before. I feel your pain. Let it go, and let the power take over." Electro smiled at me. "No." I pulled back to venom strike Electro, at the same time he did it to me.

It created a shockwave that knocked us both back, destroying more poles. "Aah, my back." I groaned, It took a big hit and I couldn't get to my feet. I fell every time. Electro went back to overloading the power grid. I sat, the electricity flowing around me. A transformer exploded, and my ears began to ring like church bells. I crawled forward, trying to stop Electro.

Sandman watched him, and Electro cut the main breakers. The most important cords were gone, too. I looked back, NYC went dark. The grid shut down, the only thing giving light was the spotlights that ran on battery. A news chopper was approaching. I watched Electro walk towards me, now. "Night night." He blasted me again.

I was in overload. Too much pain, too much thoughts, too much helplessness. I faded from consciousness. I hit the ground, my body limp on the ground.

3rd Person POV

In the news chopper, a reporter was going on about the fight. "It seems our webbed heroes have their hands full. Earlier today Ghost Spider stopped the Rhino and The Lizard from destroying city hall. Now, it seems Spiderman, himself is in a standoff at the power grid. The camera zoomed in on Spiderman held by electricity, his body limp. "Oh no. If what I'm seeing is right, Spiderman lost."

At the grid, Sandman watched Y/n get beat up. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a locket. The photo inside was of his daughter. Flint looked back out at this young kid about to die, and he stopped it. He bashed Electro, knocking him out into the water. Electro fried in the river, dying. Sandman slumped away now.

The reporter saw this. "It seems Sandman has come to the rescue, leaving the hero alone. The question remains, will he get up?" Spiderman slowly got up. He walked to the cords Electro broke, grabbing an end with either hand. Drawing in a deep breath, Y/n knew he had to restore power, no matter what it'd cost him.

Across the way, Gwen was swinging back. "Y/n, are you there?" He wouldn't pick up his phone. Ghost Spider stopped at the grid, she saw Y/n take hold of the cables. "What are you doing?" Gwen asked, she saw her boyfriend's tattered suit, his cuts and bruises, and the large gash across his chest. She heard his wheezy breath from where she was. "I have to restore power." Y/n answered.

"How?"
"With my powers. The electricity."
"I thought you couldn't control it."
"I can control it enough."
"Even then, this could kill you, Y/n."

Gwen, unmasked, looked desperately into Y/n's eyes. "Please don't do this. Don't leave me." Gwen pleaded. "This is my responsibility." Y/n took a deep breath, "Promise me you won't unplug me." "No." "Gwen, please." "...I promise." Y/n sighed, grabbing the cable to his right. He let out a scream of pain, slowly reaching his hand to the other cable.

Y/n's hand connected, Gwen watched, paralysed in fear. Spiderman's arms glowed with the blue lightning.

Gwen POV

He couldn't move. I saw him stand there, frozen. I could see the pain in his eyes, as he watched the sky. I don't know what he was thinking about, but a tear escaped his eye.

All at once he recoiled, all the electricity shooting into his body, and then radiating out. I saw him start to fall, and I ran forward, catching him. I froze, looking at his face, the side of his face was covered in blood that ran down from his head. A large gash on his chest, and his scorched suit. I did the only thing I thought of doing.

I swung across the city with Y/n, over the rubble, and the fire. I burst into the hospital. "Help please, he needs help." A Doctor came rushing over, three nurses, too. They told me to put him on a crash cart, and they rushed him away. I stood, watching him be taken away. "Please, don't leave me." His voice rang in my head.
"Don't leave me."
