Y/n POV
I woke up looking at a white ceiling. A weight on my chest. But the only thing to worry about was that I was in the hospital, and Gwen, who was laying on my chest, would be worried sick. How badly I wanted to let go, lead a normal life. Move to England with Gwen. Start a family. Just be a kid. Not burdened by responsibility that no man should have to face. But I can't. This is my duty, I finish this task, and then I can rest.
I felt Gwen shift on me, she pulled me closer. "Please wake up." I heard her whisper. "How long has it been?" "Wha-?" Gwen looked at me, she let out a sigh, and her shoulders dropped by inches. "You've been out for ten days." She told me. "Ten?" I asked. "That's besides the point. I have to ask you something." Gwen said nervously. "Yeah?" "Will you marry me?" She looked at me, and I got lost in her beautiful eyes. "Of course." I kissed her, wrapping my arms around her body, never wanting to let go. "I love you, Gwen." "I love you, Y/n."
Later that day, they released me. I was in the hospital room, putting my jacket on, when the door opened. The new captain, John Hale walked in. "I don't want to fight." He said to me, "I'm only here to talk." "So do it." I said. "I've seen what you've done for this city. For these people. You've made a lot of mistakes, and you've gotten people killed. But regardless, as much as I hate you, we need to clean up this mess." He explained.
He took his badge from his pocket, offering it to me. "Help us end this war." Hale asked. "I'm sorry, Captain. I can't risk your men's lives. This is my fight, and mine alone. I appreciate your offer, but I have to decline." I walked from the room.
I went to Avenger's tower. I walked in the front door. "Spiderman." The receptionist stumbled over her phone, letting me into the elevator. "Jarvis, send me to the common room." I said, I walked out. It was empty, the Avengers were out of country. I walked into the lab, I sat down to make my new suit.
(I drew this suit, and this is the one I'm using for Y/n.)
When it was finished I stepped out of the building, onto the platform they had on the side. I looked down at the city, and all the destruction. It was night, a purple glow from the sky and buildings. I stuck to the side of a building. I put in my headphones, playing a song called 'What's Up Danger'. I pulled my mask down over my face. "I see this spark in you, it's amazing." Peter's voice echoed. "Because you are strong, you are stronger than me and stronger than Peter, fight this!" Gwen's voice said. "I'm not." "Yes you are Y/n, I love you." The memory faded. I jumped into the air, flipping into a nose dive.
It was like I was falling in slow motion. The ground was approaching, as I picked up speed, people watched from the ground. At the last second I shot my webs into the building. I swung low enough to run on the street, a semi struck drove across the imtersection. I jumped off the corner of it, running and jumping on cars and trucks, thwipping out another web.
I lauched into the sky from an alley. I ran on the side of a building, swinging up to the roof. I jumped across AC's, until I jumped from ome rooft, to another over the busy street. I stopped on a gargoyle. I saw the city in the night. I jumped off the building, ready for the fight of my life.
