"No, no!" I yelled. "Someone actually killed Kirumi? Why?"
"Mom's dead?" Kokichi asked, voice strained. "Mama! No!"
"Please take this seriously! She was a person, not an object file!" Keebo scolded the supreme leader. Tsumugi and Gonta burst through the door, eyes falling onto the maid's null form, and they both began to weep. After what seemed like an eternity, Monokuma popped in, cheerful as ever, and distributed the "Monokuma File;" a report explaining the body. He talked about the investigation and trial once more, but I don't think anyone was actually listening. Finally, he disappeared, and we all began the investigation.
"Hey, so, how can I help?" I asked the detective nervously. Shuichi had already began poking around the crime scene, and the others went off to conduct investigations of their own. Tsumugi, Kaede, and Rantaro stayed in the kitchen with the rest of the crime scene.
"Do you mind questioning everyone for alibis?" He asked. "Sorry, I'm not all that great when talking with people, and I might not be able to get it done in time. The time of death was about 8pm, according to the Monokuma File. Can you gather alibis for 7-8:30?"
"8:30? Wait, what time is it?" I checked the nearest clock. 9:23 pm. "We've been here this long? We would've died in less than an hour! A warning would've been nice."
"Since she died at 8:00, the hour warning was probably called off, or something. Just get alibis, please, and thanks." He looked around the scene of the crime, opening bottles and such. I picked up a notepad from the counter, which appeared to formerly be a shopping list.
"So, Tsumugi, what were you doing?"
"7-8:30, right? I was in my room with Kokichi!" I dropped the pen.
"You-you were what? Why?"
"Well, remember when I said I'd write a fanfiction? Kokichi seemed to like the idea so much, he wanted to help! We began coming up with crazy ideas, and we just kept writing the whole time!" She crossed over to me and began whispering into my ear: "It even trespassed into lemon territory at one point." When she backed away, she began giggling like a schoolgirl.
"Okay, well, I think the professional thing to do would be to read it to back up your claim, but I think I'll just take your word for it," I said. Internally, though, I was curious. But curiosity killed the cat's innocence, especially if curiosity involved Kokichi.
"What about you, Rantaro? You were in the library, right? What exactly were you doing?"
"How'd you know I was in the library?" He asked. Tsumugi looked eagerly at us.
"Following him to ensure his safety, is it? Can I write a fanfiction about that?"
"Now isn't the time," Shuichi said, frustration radiating from him. "Can you discuss this elsewhere, please?" We listened and travelled outside the dining hall, giving him space and concentration.
"So, I'll talk about how I know later, but why were you at the library?" I asked again.
"I'll talk about why I was at the library when you tell me how you know I went there, but if I was at the library I couldn't commit the crime." I took note of this and jotted it down on the paper.
"Alright, thank you," I said. I also took a quick note of mine, Kaede's, and Shuichi's alibis. After that, I moved into the hallway to find other people.
Angie, Tenko, and Himiko were the first ones I found, so naturally I asked them first.
"God required extra prayers tonight, so I was praying the entire time," Angie said, smiling as usual. "I've been in my room the whole time."
