I wasn't sure what happened that night for a little bit. I was completely and utterly overwhelmed. I just wanted to sleep, but I had things to do. Rantaro was waiting for me at the gym, so I had to go over there. Sluggishly, I pulled myself to the gym, desperate to avoid anyone except the survivor himself. When I got to the gym, Rantaro was already there, waiting patiently. He seemed just as tired as I was.

"So what's up?" I asked, regretting agreeing to meet him. "Anything wrong?"

"I have a question for you," he announced, "since you just might be the school's new matchmaker." I didn't know what he meant by that. Was it just because I got together with Shuichi? "We're both sleepy, so I'll cut to the chase. Can you set me up with Tsumugi?"

"Tsumugi, Huh?" I remembered what she said about possibly liking him. "Sure, no problem. I think she just might like you back, anyway. When would be a good time? Tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow might be a little soon, how about the day after tomorrow?" I agreed and parted ways, since both of us were more exhausted than when we had planned the meeting. I had one more thing to do before bed, and I prayed to God. I prayed for Kiyo, his sister, and Kaede to be doing well in the afterlife. Especially Kaede. God assured me that everyone ended up where they rightfully belonged, which made me feel at ease. And with that, I fell asleep.

I slept in until noon. The morning announcement didn't even register over the sound of my dreaming. I didn't even want to wake up. I lazily got ready for the day, knowing I couldn't just sit in my room forever. I used the incentive of lunch and Shuichi to force myself out of my dorm and into the school. Everyone was already at the dining hall for lunch, where Miu was cooking.

"How was breakfast?" I asked, not having full confidence in Miu's cooking. Several people let out groans and sighs of discontent.

"Well, Mono, uh, which one was it? The red one," Tsumugi began. "Monotaro! Monotaro gave us another flashback light, so now we have two. Should we use them or—"

"Oh, for sure!" Kokichi cheered.

"So, it's a consensus? No?" The cosplayer announced. Kokichi huffed out a pout.

"Monokuma said himself that they're useful, right? We should totally use them! Pretty please?"

"Okay, why are you trusting Monokuma, first of all, and second of all, did he mean useful for us or for him?" Maki grumbled.

"I think we should try, too," I blurted out. "I mean, I'm just a little curious. Aren't you?"

"I've got nothing to lose," Ryoma said.

"I guess there's been worse ideas," Shuichi told us.

"How about this: anyone who wants to see whatever this thing is can meet up somewhere and use it, meanwhile people unwilling to try it don't have to?" I suggested. "That way everyone wins!"

"Okay, how does the gym sound after breakfast?" Rantaro suggested. "Who's all going?" He raised his hand, along with myself, Shuichi, Ryoma, Gonta, and Kokichi. "Then I'll see you all after lunch." As if on que, Miu burst out of the kitchen with a sloppy bowl of mashed potatoes.

"Since you all hated my breakfast so much, lunch is made purely with spite! I hope you choke on it and die!"

"I'll make you something later," Shuichi whispered to me. "Let's go." We headed to the gym, with two flashback lights and the others in pursuit. Once we got there, Shuichi fumbled with the device, and suddenly, the world warped.
