Taehyun fell asleep at the table Beomgyu set up outside. The boy waited until dawn and eventually drifts off. He was awoken by the sound of his phone, it was ringing like bitch and Taehyun was already pissed off just by its vibration.
He looked around and was reminded about what happened last night. He let out a loud groan when it finally sank in. Beomgyu had really left. After all the things they shared, they planned, he haven't even taken Beomgyu to that pet store he was so excited about. He hasn't made Beomgyu his favorite breakfast yet. He hasn't let Beomgyu know about his answers.
His phone rang again and Taehyun had no choice but to answer indisposed. His head was pounding, his tummy was grumbling and his heart was aching. How could he have the energy to answer a call right now? Unless it's Beomgyu, but the boy didn't have a phone nor— shit! He had no place to go. Shit, shit, shit, what if something bad happen to him.
Taehyun was terrified. He could never forgive himself if Beomgyu puts himself into danger. It will probably be the end for him because the thought of Beomgyu in an uncertainty makes him insane. The phone rang for the third time and Taehyun had no choice but to answer just so it won't bother him anymore.
"Taehyun, where are you? I'm gonna need to let you—"
"Hyung, I'm not going to work today. Cancel everything and please do the rest for me." Taehyun cuts him off and was about to cut the call when Soobin ask him a question.
"Are you okay?" The older asked worriedly. Taehyun's voice sounded worn out and Soobin wanted to confirm it and he did because Taehyun was left speechless for about three minutes. Soobin knew that Taehyun might be hesitating to open up but the guy will voluntarily do when he couldn't take it himself.
"Hyung... Beomgyu h— left." Taehyun finally spoke after that awkward silence. Soobin was shocked but he was more than worried for the both of them especially Taehyun.
He had seen how the boy was starting to open up to Beomgyu. He had seen how Beomgyu bought life to Taehyun. He had seen how Taehyun's eyes glowed but he also knows how Taehyun still doubted. How he hesitated because he was scared. It was clear that Taehyun was being in-denial because this was his first time. It scared him at how deep it was.
"What happened? Do you want us to come over?" He asked voice full of concern.
"It's fine hyung. I'm not gonna be here anyways. I'm gonna go look for him. Hyung, I need him." Taehyun's voice was desperate and as much Soobin wanted to scold the guy for realizing his feelings too late, he needs not to add on Taehyun's anxiety.
"Don't worry. I hope you find him soon." The older replied before Taehyun cut the call. Huening Kai was listening and Soobin just glare at him with concern. They both knew how depressing it is for Taehyun when someone leaves and the fact that it's the boy Taehyun had been blabbing about for about a month now. It was obvious to them how whipped he was for the boy. So, they were really worried but they'd wait until Taehyun calls for help.
"Where do you think he'd gone hyung? Do you wanna visit his work? I'm worried for Taehyunie." Kai suggested and Soobin glance at the papers before deciding to agree on the younger one.
The two of them drove off to the café Beomgyu worked on but they found out that the boy didn't show up on his shift today. They had no choice but to go back to the company in hopes that both Taehyun and Beomgyu are hanging in there.
Taehyun on the other hand just entered the café asking for Beomgyu and Jake who was covering his shift said the same exact words.
"He didn't show up obviously. I don't really know what happened but he was also absent yesterday." Taehyun was once again surprised to know that Beomgyu probably spent the whole day preparing for his confession which he just had to ruin.
