Hi,

My name is Ava-Jayne Norris and the younger twin sister of Formula One driver Lando Norris. No were non-identical twins but we share the same passions for motorsport especially Formula One.

I live with my brother Lando down in Woking, so he is near the McLaren Technology Centre. When he has to go in, I just tag along and they don't mind. It's good that I get on well with CEO Zak Brown. He knows I want to get back into racing and is helping me as well. The only other person that knows that I'm getting back into racing is mine and my brothers best friend George Russell. Yes, we went karting together and racing in the lower Formula racing teams.

I left racing after my first season in Formula 3 due to a minor accident and had a knock on my confidence but I now just miss the enjoyment of racing and competing against all the other drivers, even though I'm in a male-dominated sport, but I don't care at all.

After leaving the racing scene, I still went to races to support my brother, best friend George and my friend Alex Albon who we just call Albono. Between the secret conversations that Lando and Alex were having was about the flirting going on between me and George. Yes both me and George have feeling for each other but we just won't admit them.

One day I told Lando, I couldn't come to MTC with him because I wasn't  feeling well and he just told me to get better soon. Well..... That was a load of utter shit because I went karting at the local track down the road from where Lando and I live. Unbeknown to me, the team principal for Formula 2 team HiTech was there and saw me. After getting out the kart I had a really interesting conversation about my previous racing career and he offered me to come to Silverstone for a day of testing out the car.

The day of testing came around, told Lando a white lie that I was doing a first aid course in Silvierstone, even though I was testing out the Formula 2 racing car. That day I dragged George with me because he knew how much that it meant to me. That was the day I got offered a seat in Formula 2 and now my ultermate goal is to be in Formula 1 with my brother and our friends.

The only other person that knows about me going back to racing is my best friend Rosie Wilkinson, I can't really speak to her that much because she's in the Army. Rosie is a year older than me and joined the Army as soon as she turned 18. I hope she can see me race one day.

Come along with me on my journey to developing my racing career
