Twenty Nine

The next morning rolled around and all I could hear was my alarm blaring so loud, I crawled out of George's grip, to turn my alarm off. After turning my alarm off, I got up and out of bed, stretched and then made my way to the bathroom to have a shower, ready for my long day at the factory down in Silverstone.

As George was still asleep, I left him a note in his bed side table which reads:

Morning my handsome Georgie,
I've left for the factory for the day. I should be back by 7 tonight and then we can start sending memes to my brother just to annoy him!
Have a great day at the factory and I'll see you later

I put my trainers on, grab my team jacket, my rucksack, id badge and car keys and headed out the front door.
Luckily the journey wasn't as long due to the fact that there was no traffic on the motorway and I got to Silverstone at 09:30am and as I was getting out of my car I saw Liam and decided to call after him.

"Oi kiwi" I shouted at my teammate. "You alright Pommie" Liam said. "Yeah I'm good but let's just get today over and done with so I can get home, so me and my boyfriend can send memes to my brother just to piss him off" was what I said to my teammate and Liam just laughed in response.

As soon as we entered the factory building, both me and Liam headed to the meeting room, where we were greeted by James, the engineer and the mechanics to talk about our race strategies and possible tactics to use on the tricky street circuit that we are heading to in a few days time. As soon as the meeting with James, I headed down to the work shop with my lead mechanic Billy to go and so my seat fitting in my car, before I head to the simulator with my engineer Andy to do some training around the Baku circuit.

With the seat fitting and simulator training done, it was time for the photoshoot with mine and Liams cars on the centre of the Silverstone and then me and Liam standing side by side with our helmets on and then one with us standing side by side just holding our helmets. The best photo that was taken today was when my car was parked on the pole grid slot and Liams car was parked in the P2 grid slot and we were both standing inside our cars with our helmets on with our visors up.

Straight after our photoshoot, we did about 10 laps of the track to get the necessary data we need to see if there was any more improvements that need to be made, once we get to Azerbaijan.

By the time I get out of the car, have s quick freshen up it's already 17:30 and I was finally heading home to go see my boyfriend. Which I'm glad about! I text George to let home know that I was on my way home and asked him if he could pick me up a chicken and vegetable chow mein, prawn toast and prawn crackers from the local Chinese takeaway because I didn't have time for lunch due to being so busy with my engineers an mechanics all day. Luckily he agreed, so I was happy.

The journey home took longer than expected, due to it being rush hour and that the motorway was extremely busy, but as the traffic was coming to a standstill I thought it would be a good idea to let George know where I am so that he doesn't worry about me.

George: Hey beautiful, where are you? I've got your chow mein and other bits from the Chinese, which I've put in the microwave

AJ: Hey, the motorway has come to a standstill at the moment and I'm not sure how long I'm going to be but I'm hoping it isn't too much longer. I'm literally 20 minutes from home. Bloody hate rush hour.

George: Thanks for letting me know babe. I'll wait up for, just because I want to see you when you get home, so I can give you a big bear hug

AJ: Aw thank you, babe! I really need a bear hug after the long day that I've had with all the meetings, photoshoots and car testing. But can we still piss my brother off with memes?

George: Yeah course we can still piss Lando off because pissing your brother off is just hilarious!

AJ: It is funny, annoying my twin. The traffic is finally moving again, so I will see you in about 15 minutes.

George: See you in 15 beautiful

I hang the phone up and continue the rest of my journey home, just so I can get some grub in my stomach because I'm staring hungry.

Exactly 15 minutes later, I pull onto the driveway, park the car and get out and head inside.

"Georgie, I'm home" I yelled as I close the front door. As I yelled, George popped his head out of the kitchen door. "Hey how was you day princess" George asked his tired looking girlfriend. "I'm good babe, shattered, hungry and just wanting one of my handsome boyfriends best hugs" I said looking at George.

George walks over to his girlfriend and engulfs her in a tight hug and tells her to go and get changed into some comfy clothes whilst he warms her dinner up.
I put on a a pair of shorts and baggy T-shirt on and as I sat down on the sofa, George brought my Chinese into the lounge and we decided to watch Police Interceptors. After devouring the chow mien and having a cuddle with George whilst watching a few episodes of Police Interceptors, we both decided to go to bed and that we both agreed to annoy Lando with the memes tomorrow.
As soon as I got into mine and George's room, I literally jumped onto the bed, wrapped myself in the duvet and fell asleep because today has been absolutely tiring but worth because in Baku, I'm going to ace it because it is another of my favourite circuits I like to race on.
As I'm drifting into my deep sleep, I feel a pair of strong muscles around my waist and they pull me close to them and I'm happy! George make me so happy when I'm with him because he make me feel safe and I'm so glad that I met him all those years ago at karting with Lando.

Sorry this post is a bit short, I've been busy with my uni assignment!
