Today's the day that me and the rest of the Formula one lot are off to Melbourne, Australia for the Australian Grand Prix, but when I go to races I either spend most of my time in the McLaren garage or with Formula two team HiTech. With HiTech, I'm the new driver for this season but my twin brother Lando, thinks I'm working with the pit crew.

Me and brother arrive at Heathrow Airport and the first person I see when I get out of the car is my best friend George Russell. "Cooee Georgie boy" I shout from the other side of the car park. "Av, you alright beautiful" George replied in his usual cheery tone.

As me and George start having a conversation, all we can hear from behind us is huffing and puffing and then we both turn around to see Lando trying to get my 3 rather heavy suitcases out of the car and I couldn't help but burst out laughing, whilst clinging on to George's arm. As I continue to laugh my socks off, Lando turns to stare at me and then he just drops my suitcase and looks at me and George and yells in a jokey tone "You better not be flirting with sister Russell" "I'm not flirting milk boi" was George's response, earning an 'oh haha ha' off of Lando.

Walking out of the car park towards the terminal, we bump into Lando's teammate Carlos Sainz, who I call Carlitos. After meeting Carlos, we all go and check our backs in for the flight. All the boys go first and then I go. Yep, that's when I run into an issue. My suitcase is over the weight limit.

"Really, you had to pack that much for the entire race weekend," my twin said to me. "In my defence, my dear brother, it's got outfit changes and my team wear for the weekend" was my response to Lando. George told the two McLaren drivers to go through to departures whilst he stays with me, to sort out my excess baggage out. Then I turn my attention to the check-in lady.

"With your cases being 6kg over the maximum weight limit of 23kg, for you cases to get onto this flight today is going to cost you £240" The airline's check-in lady stated to me. I turn to George, whilst getting my purse out of my rucksack and mouth '£240 fucking quid'. I handed my debit card over to the lady to pay for my baggage and then me and George headed through security and then onto departures.

When arriving at the departure lounge me and George having our usual flirty banter. Well, I'm actually hiding 2 secrets from my darling twin brother, the first one being me getting back into racing and the second one is that me and George have actually been dating for 6 months and no one knows. "Come on then Mr Satruday, let's go and find my annoying arse brother," I said whilst hugging George and looking up at him. I'm only 5"3 and George is just over 6ft. George laughs and me and says "let's go then".

Trying to find my brother can be hard but with his very distinctive laugh, I found him, in the one place that he shouldn't be was the pancake and waffle restaurant. Me and George walked over to him and as we approach him I start speaking "LANDO NORRIS". From me saying his full name he dropped his folk and I continue speaking "You shouldn't be eating that, you do realise I have Jon on speed dial and I can tell him you're eating this shit. For crying out loud, I follow the same diet plan as you to help you keep on track" then Lando starts giving AJ puppy dog eyes and says "Please, please, please, don't tell Jon he will make me do an extra work out". I start laughing "I don't actually have Jon on speed dial, but you should have seen your face brother, it was hilarious and Lando can we talk in private before we get on the plane, there's something I want to tell you". when I finish my sentence give George the look and he responds with a nod.

Lando and AJ go and find a quiet spot so they can have their chat. They find a quiet spot near a window that looks out onto the runway where you can see planes taking off and landing.

"What did you want to talk about AJ, is something bothering you at all" Lando said with slight concern about his twin. "I'm fine Lan, but please don't take this the wrong way when say this and I know you and Ollie always get overprotective of me when it comes to boys. How would you feel if I told you that I've got a boyfriend and we've been seeing each other for 6 months" I said in a calm manner. Lando instantly responded with "I'm happy for you but who's the boy?". "I've been seeing George for the past 6 months". From what I said, Landos eyes went wide and said "I kind had a feeling and I'm happy for you, I know he won't hurt you but if he dare hurts you, he will have me and Oliver to answer to.

We stood up and headed back over to Carlos and George and I smiled at George so he knew that I was happy that my brother knew about our relationship. Then an announcement came over the PA system.

"Singapore Airlines flight SQ317 to Melbourne via Singapore, please make your way over to boarding gate 42, as the flight is ready to commence boarding "

We all made out way to the gate, we show the staff our passports and boarding passes and we make our way onto the aircraft. Luckily we were all flying business class. I was sat with my handsome boyfriend for the duration of the journey. Thank god for that.

I could cope sitting next to Lando for a full 24 hours I a flying tin can, with him hogging both armrests, pestering me to watch movies or tv shows on the in-flight entertainment, poking me, asking me 'are we there yet' like kids do on school trips when they're on the coach journey. I can tell you Lando was that child. Lando and boredom do not mix well because that creates one annoying pain in the rear behind who won't shut up until he is happy. I feel sorry for Carlos, but he should know how easily Lando gets bored because he's been his teammate for over year. if Jon was sitting next to my idiotic brother he would just purely tell him to 'shut the hell up or you are doing an extra workout over the weekend'. I love my twin to pieces but there is only so much I can tolerate. We're best friends and we're wombmates for life.

As the doors on the plane get closed for departure, me and George played our special playlist, on Spotify and relaxed as we get ready to take off. George knows I suffer from a fear of flying, so as the engines start to roar at the end of the runway, I close my eyes and George grabs my hand to calm my nerves and within minutes the plane has taken off and I look out the window and in my mind, I say 'see you in 24 hours Australia"

My race weekend officially started, as soon as that plane left the ground. My first Formula 2 race and I am happy I'm back doing something that I love, with the support of my wonderful boyfriend and McLaren CEO Zak Brown. Let's hope Lando doesn't have a heart attack when he finds out that his twin is back behind the wheel of a racing car because it will probably go down. And by going down, I mean a proper argument, which involves a real good shout match.
