"How do you know about him?" Shane asked, backing up slightly. Something was off here, Ryan knowing about C.C Tinsely couldn't just be a coincidence. Just as he was getting comfortable with Ryan, he mentions Tinsely. Could he trust him? What was happening?

His heart started racing as he looked at Ryan with distrust. A war was raging in his mind with no sign of stopping.

"Shane? What's wrong?" His voice was gentle but confused. Shane looked hurt for some reason but he had no idea why.

"How do you know Tinsely?" He asked again, the words sounding more like an accusation. He has hoping, praying, that ryan wasnt going to betray him. He couldnt take it.

"He's from a true-crime case, why?" Shane was acting really weird, but ryan couldnt fatham why. Why was C.C Tinsely effecting him so much? It was just another mystery he had no way of uncovering.

Shane sighed, cursing himself for being so suspicious. Ryan had been nothing but supportive, he didn't deserve Shane's mistrust. "Right, yeah, sorry" he shook his head of the thoughts.

"Is everything ok?" Ryan asked, wanting some more context to the situation. He was understanding of Shane's situation but he also found it odd he was so quick to become suspicious. It hurt, but he kept his poker face. Before he didnt have to pretend around shane. He just hoped that wouldnt change.

"Yeah, it's just..." Shane trailed off for a second, sensing that another demon had entered the premises. "I know him"

Ryan looked up with wide eyes "Really?"

Shane nodded, no longer interested in the conversation. After spending the night in the overworld, he felt less in tune with Hell, so he was trying to focus his efforts on figuring out who was here.

"You're acting weird," Ryan said, sitting in front of the ouija board. He didn't want to push Shane too much but he wasn't sure what to make of the situation. It was obvious that C.C. Tinsely had some kind of effect on Shane, but that's all he had to go off of. The more he found out about Shane's the more confused it left him.

"Ignore me, let's do this" Shane said, shaking his head before sitting on the opposite side of the board. The presence of the other demon was growing so he remained alert.

"Ok..." Ryan agreed, placing his hands on the planchet. Shane followed his lead, humoring Ryan. His eyes went wide as he did because images of his past started to play through his mind. Ryan spelled out H-E-L-L-O on the board as a jolt of excitement/fear went down his spine.

The response came quickly and aggressively. "HELLO"

Shane stared down in bewilderment. "I guess you weren't joking when you said you were the best ghost hunter" He joked in an attempt to hide the worry in his chest. Demons typically didn't bother to interact with ouija boards, and if they did it usually wasn't this aggressive.

Ryan forced a smile and released a shaky breath. He had gotten used to Shane, but he wasn't really comfortable with other supernatural entities.

"Now what?" Shane asked, glancing around the theater to try to get a glimpse of whoever was messing with them.

"Who are you?" Ryan asked out loud before spelling it out on the board

"You don't need to know" He heard a feminine voice whisper from behind him. He felt goosebumps form on his neck as he looked behind him. Shane felt the energy in the room change, but he didn't hear anything.

Ryan swallowed hard as a cold chill passed by him.

Mari stood over them, hiding her physical form. It was a trick she had perfected over the years of being an assassin. Not just an assassin, but the best. Not even Shane could see her now, but she couldn't keep up the trick for long. Especially not with her energy so depleted.
