Chapter 14: Dinner

This day looks like a normal day for other people.

But not for renjun.

This is the time when he is reminded of his painful memory happened three years.

It is the death anniversary of his dead lover.

"Renjun wake up were going to eat now..." ningning gently called the older chinese

It has been like this for the past three years, everytime this day comes the family will always remind renjun that he is not at fault for what happened to his lover, it is all accident.

"Meihui won't be happy seeing you being like this again.." ningning said trying to comfort the male through the door

And that's when she decided to barge inside the room, the female chinese could practically hear her heart crack as she saw renjun sobbing on the floor.

"Renjun!" The chinese female ran into the said male and quickly give him a warm embrace and he hugs her back

Ningning caress the older's back in a comforting manner, renjun bury his face on her shoulder a and felt her t-shirt getting soak in tears. She tries so hard to prevent her tears from falling by looking up and breath deeply.

The chinese male is the first one to broke from their embrace and wipe his tears that were still flowing in his eyes. "I'm sorry ningning." He apologize trying to look at the female but his vision is blurred because of the tears.

Ningning hushed him wiping the tears into his eyes then cup the male's face with her two hands, "It's fine renjun, okay?!" She nods and renjun smile looking down while nodding his head as well then she let go and grab his wrist to help him stand up "Let's eat! Dad and papa are already waiting for us." Then the two exited the room

The whole breakfast session was quiet but not totally silent since jaehyun and ningning tries to light up the whole mood and they succeed because renjun was able to laugh with them genuinely and they were pretty much relieved about it

They have always been each other's comfort about everything.

Having a family like them always comes along with judgements from the people who know nothing about them, they always threw the usual hurtful words like sinners, digusting people, weird, etc. and the chinese male is always willing to fight with people who would dare to badmouth the family if it weren't for them preventing him from doing so.

And same goes for renjun aside from his parents, he is able to show the family his most vulnerable side because of the trust and attachment he had with them. He has been able to deal with his break downs and panic attacks because of the comfort and care they show for renjun.

The chinese male is now on his usual place behind the counter when he's phone ring.

"Hello mom."

"Oh hey renjun! Are you okay?" His mom ask with a tone of worry on her voice "The couple told me about what happened earlier and I was super worried for you but thank goodness they are there with you!" She added

"Yes mom, i'm okay." The chinese male smile at his mom's worries for him.

After he move to korea, renjun's parents is constantly reaching out for him asking him about his well-being, they would sometimes call either of the couple or even ningning to just check if he is doing well.

"By the way, ningning told me about this prince of yours." Mrs. Huang ask with a tone of teasing on her voice

His mouth agape with what his mom ask about him, "That girl cannot shut her mouth!" He just close his eyes and sighed before answering "Mom he's just my friend!" He said with a defensive tone

"Really? Hmmm let's see.." he can feel the teasing smile of his mom on the other line just with the way she talk, "We want to meet this 'friend'of yours, brought him here when you have your vacation sometime!" She said wiggling her eyebrows as she love teasing her son.

Renjun just sighed in defeat as he just nod even if his mom won't be able to see "Fine, I will brought him there but please mom stop teasing! I already have enough here!" He close his eyes as he took a deep breath

"Okay! See you soon with your 'friend'"  Mrs. Huang laugh before hanging out

Renjun just shook his head in disbelief with what his mother have told him.

"Who are you talking to on your phone?" A familiar voice ask making the chinese male jumped out from this seat

"Oh shit! Don't scare me like that!" Renjun said still holding on to his chest because if shock

Donghyuck chuckle lowly before smiling at the chinese male, " I'm asking who were you talking to the phone?" He ask again

Renjun take a breath first before responding to the question, "My mom." Then blinks his eyes on the tanned male

Donghyuck's mouth formed an 'o' then nods his head before getting something to eat.

There isn't much interested thing they  did except staring dreamily at the chinese male who just looks simply beautiful while scrolling at his phone.

"Why don't you just court him instead of dreamily staring at him secretly?" The tanned male did the same as renjun earlier hearing a deep voiced female in front of him

Yuqi narrow her eyes at donghyuck before shaking her head and click her tounge in disbelief.

"Were just friends." The tanned male look anywhere but yuqi

The chinese female made a teasing face at donghyuck who still can't look at her eyes, "Really?" She mockingly nods her head then goes to her fellow chinese who is still busy scrolling to his phone.

The tanned male immediately followed yuqi then grab her one arm to halt her from saying something to the chinese male, "What? I'm going to send him home, my shift would start soon." He let go of the female chinese arm who gave him a teasing look again before going to renjun, " Hey renjun you can go home now," she then turn her head to donghyuck then smiled teasingly "or go with donghyuck since he has been staring at you for a while now." He widen his eyes as he hears heard her blurted it out to the chinese male

Renjun now looked at donghyuck but look away immediately at him.

They were now walking on the streets when the tanned male grab renjun's one arm but instantly let go as renjun look at his arm to where he is holding.

"Uhmm," the tanned male scratch his head before sighing and asking renjun "Do you perhaps want to have dinner with me at my unit? Don't worry I won't force you to come with me, I am just wondering if you can.." he ask looking down

Donghyuck mentally his cross fingers wishing renjun to come with him
