The alarm rang for the third time. Just as Sarah was about to hit the snooze button, she saw the reminder and sat up straight. Hurrying out of bed, she freshend up, made her room and changed to the clothes she had kept pressed inside her cupboard. Skipping down the stairs, she kissed her mother's forehead and helped her make breakfast. Both mother and daughter finished the breakfast in peace and Sarah after bidding her mother goodbye, walked towards the metro station. Through metro she reached her said destination and slightly gulped noticing the dominating building made of glass. The reflection of sun made it shine elegantly and the tall frame with it's bold name made everything else seem tiny in it's comparison. Not wanting this to ruin her self-esteem, she walked inside the building and upon reaching the kind receptionist was guided to the interview room. While waiting in the waiting room, Sarah observed her surroundings. There was a coffee machine and a table filled with snacks. Just the basic stuff she observed. Coming in, she assessed this was not how she excepted. Instead of grand decor, the building from inside was plain and formal. However, the most prominent feature that stood out had to be the smell. The air smelled luxurious and relaxing. Maybe it was the odour they used or the people's perfumed scent but whatever it was Sarah found it to be interestingly amusing. Before she could dive deep and specify what scent it was, she was called into the room and the interview started.

"We are truly impressed Miss Sarah. Everything checks out." The man on the left end of the table spoke smiling and Sarah smiled back thanking them. "But there is one last question.."
Sarah waited patiently as the same man spoke. "Look at this room and tell us. Is there anything that needs to be changed?" Sarah a bit surprised asked for some time to think the answer over as her eyes moved around. She grew a bit skeptic but didn't let it show in her posture or body language. She replied just as confidently. This might offend them but she knew they were testing her to see if she would speak her thoughts. "Firstly, I would say that this table is much smaller as compared to this big room. Secondly, I would say that the position of the lamp is really awkward as it seems to stand at the far corner of the room. Since this room, is no less than a hall, I would say the furniture needs to be bigger than this. That is all I can say from my present observation." The three interviewers looked at each other and Sarah held her bag tight. She couldn't clearly tell if they were impressed or not as their expression remained neutral.
"Thank you for coming Miss Sarah. We will get in touch with you soon" The lady said smiling warmly. She seemed to approve of her. She nodded back smiling at them and thanking them for their time. She moved out.
Done with the interview, she decided to stop at a cafe. Entering Starbucks, she ordered her drink and made her way to the table at the corner of the room. Closing her eyes, she messaged her tempels. Finally becoming stress free. She wanted to relax a bit before she headed home so she could think straight.

Outside, Xavier looked at her sat at the table. He wanted to break from his routine that's why he decided to come out alone for a drink. He didn't know though that she would also be here. He silently debated if he should head inside or not. Because neither did he want to appear a stalker nor did he want to make matter tense by completely ignoring her.
He decided to head back to his office instead. Avoiding her. It seemed as though fate was trying to intertwine their paths but he wasn't certain if he could handle it. He silently sat down on his desk when he came back to his safe heaven. Somehow, this room made him feel comfortable. Where he could ignore everyone and just work. As soon as he would go out though, a certain sadness and emptiness seemed to hit him in the pit of his stomach. He could feel it drag his mood down. He didn't do anything about it except go back to the silence that awaited him everywhere.
