Mcgonagall and Ember stepped over the threshold of the Grangers House, Ember dragging her trunk. It didn't take long for Embers vision to be clouded by a bush a curly brown hair as she felt arms wrap tightly around her neck. Ember dropped her trunk and wrapped her arms around Hermione's waist.
"Oh, Em, are you okay?" Hermione whispered tearfully.
Ember knowing there was no point in trying to hide it, shook her head. Ember heard McGonagall greeting Hermione's parents. Ember took a deep shakey breath as her and Hermione pulled apart.
"Everything's going to be okay now. I'm going to help you through this. I promise." Hermione said as she hugged Ember tightly again.
Tears leaked out of Embers eyes and she was glad Hermione's hair was covering her face so no one could see. Ember took deep breath in an attempt to calm herself down. When they pulled apart for a second time, Ember wiped her eyes and mouthed a 'thank you' to Hermione.
It wasn't long intill McGonagall and Ember were saying goodbye.
"I just wanted to thank you, again Professor. For everything." Ember said with complete sincerity.
"If you need anything, anything at all, you need only ask." McGonagall said, her voice soft yet shakey, as if she was trying to hold back her emotions.
Embernot caring about professionalism hugged McGonagall tightly round the waist. "Thankyou." Ember said again.
McGonagall hesitated before she hugged Ember back and then took her leave. It was only when McGonagall was down the drive did she let the tears she'd been holding in fall.
"Do you want to see your room?" Hermione asked Ember softly.
Ember gave her a small, nervous and nodded. Hermione grabbed her hand and led her upstairs. Ember turned to get her trunk but Mr Granger waved her off, "I've got it, you go on up."
Hermione led Ember upstairs followed by Mrs Granger who was then followed by Mr Granger who was heaving the trunk up the stairs.
"That's my room their, yours is tight next to mine." Hermione said pointing at a door and then leading Ember to a door next to it. Hermione stood aside so Ember could open the door and she nodded encouragingly.
Ember slowly opened the door and gasped at the sight before her.
