Harry looked at the letters in front of him.

Harry,
Ember won! Only George was allowed to go and Hermione and her parents, but she won! Apparently she gave the defence lawyer a piece of her mind. I don't know if Hermione's letter will come first but Ember didn't tell you herself as she's not exactly herself right now. You know that Shawn Maddie talked about? Well he's dead. Surprisingly it wasn't You Know Who, some muggle gang violence apparently. Ember's not coping to well because of it. Hermione will probably be able to tell you more but I know you would at least want to know how the trial went. Those gits got life sentences! Ha! Serves them right! Hope the muggles are treating you alright.
Ron

Harry,
Ember won! Isn't that just wonderful? You can't imagine how hard the trial was. It was hard enough just listening to it, how Ember and those other girls did it is beyond me. I don't know if I could of ever done something like that. Those men were truly horrid. The happiness was short lived I'm afraid. Ember's friend, Shawn, died. It was awful and Ember isn't coping well. No one can get through to her. She blames herself for not being able to get through to him. You know how Ember is, Everything's her fault in one way or another in her eyes. Hope to see you soon.
Hermione

Harry stared at the letters for a while, comprehending everything they said. He was at first overjoyed that Ember had won the trail but now all he felt was worry and concern for Ember. How was she coping?

In truth Ember wasn't coping.

She spent every minute of every day studying the Elemental book. She had offered to help clean with the others but Mrs Weasley insisted that her learning how to control her powers was more important and she was right. Ever since Shawn died Ember powers had been severely unpredictable. It no longer required Ember to be an the very of outrage for her to erupt into flames but the slightest bit of anger and her would go up in flames. Sometimes it took multiple Order members casting the water spell at her to put her hair out.

She was setting, accidentally, multiple things on fire. The table. The chairs. The bedframe. The bed sheets. The sofas. The carpets. The curtains. Even once Sirius's shirt when he had come to calm her down.

Ember started distancing herself again. She refused to sleep after the first night after Shawn's death. Her dreams had changed that when she landed in the Graveyard first she saw Cedric then when she turned to run away, Shawn's body was on her other side.

Ember, who for everyone's safety, had her own room and she would sneak out with Nymeria and practising flying on her. Nymeria would fly out the window the grow herself big enough for Ember to be able to sit on her but no too big that she'd be easy to spot as her black scales helped her blend in with the darkness of night. Once they were high enough in the sky, Ember practiced fighting on top of Nymeria both with her witch magic and her Elemental magic. She would have Nymeria fly as if they were being chased and performed all sorts of flying maneuvers and Ember had to find ways to hold on. Ember fell off multiple time and Nymeria would simply dive and get her.
