Chapter 25 - Rematch Against Epsilon

"After accepting her request, Rika has joined Raimon and will play as our forward." Coach Hitomiko said, "Fubuki, I want you to play as a defender this game."

Raimon formation (4-3-3): Endou (C). Domon, Kabeyama, Kogure, Fubuki. James, Touko, Kidou. Kazemaru, Rika, Ichinose.

Epsilon kicked off and was rushed by the front three and Kidou but the opposition player, Maquia, jumped into the air and overhead kicked the ball down as meteors came and crashed down where the four players were standing, "Meteor Shower!"

James closed her down quickly with Touko by his side. Back up was coming from Kogure and Fubuki so she passed it sideways to Zel who used "Ganymede Proton" but Endou stopped it this time with "Majin The Hand".

He threw the ball to James who kicked it in the air for Rika who prepared to use Rose Splash, attracting many defenders but she simply passed it to Ichinose who passed it to Kidou and they used "Twin Boost".

Desarm put out his arm and stopped the shot cleanly but he was driven back a tiny bit which shocked the entire Epsilon team except from Desarm who smirked. 

Just what I expected.

Both sides had equal chances but Endou and Desarm were both putting immense performances to stop all the shots that came their way. Maquia came to attack and Fubuki stared at Desarm who smirked at him menacingly.

"I won't be stuck defending all the time!" Fubuki said as he slid in and got the ball, starting a counter attack by himself.

"Pass it here Fubuki!" Kidou said but Fubuki ran past him and continued by himself.

If I'm not perfect then there's no point of me being here!

"Let him shoot!" Desarm said to his defence, "he's our main dish for today."

Fubuki used "Eternal Blizzard" and Desarm used "Wormhole" to stop the shot. The intense battle continued and Kidou and James used "Twin Boost" but Desarm swatted the ball away with his hand.

Fubuki got to the rebound before the defender and used "Eternal Blizzard" again but it was stopped by "Wormhole" again.

"This isn't enough for me, shoot with more passion in your heart!" Desarm smirked as he threw the ball, "attack! The time limit for a goal is 7.4 seconds!"

Metron controlled the ball and James slid in but he jumped over and gave the ball to Swarm. Kabeyama used "The Wall" but one kick from Swarm broke the wall and he passed to Zel.

Kogure prepared to use Senpuujin but Zel ran past him before he could start spinning and he used "Ganymede Proton" though this was stopped by Endou's "Majin The Hand" as the half time whistle blew.

"Good job everyone, we're keeping up with their movements this time!" Endou said, "we've gotten stronger and we'll win for sure!"

"Fubuki." Hitomiko said, "you're too focused on attacking, concentrate on defence."

"Coach, please bring Fubuki to the attack." Kidou said, "he's the only one with enough power to even contest with Desarm."

"One point will decide the game, we can't afford to be the ones to lose it."

"But then we can't get that point either."

"He can switch to attack from defence extremely well, once an Epsilon attack has been stopped, that's the time to strike."

"Isn't that a lot of pressure on him?" James asked.

"I'll be alright."

"I do wish there was another way but I guess it's our only option."
