"So what'd you figure out from examining the damage?" Satoru asked, hands behind his back, as he walked. He tilted his head slightly to look at Shoko.
"Next time bring me dead bodies instead of live ones. I was looking forward to dissecting them." Shoko said in disappointment while Satoru chuckled. "That cursed spirit is probably the strongest in modern history. Its strength was so great that even my reversed curse technique had trouble reversing the damage it did to those kids"
Satoru whistled. "She's a rarity that's for sure. We can't even find anything in her history that can explain why she manifested into such a strong curse"
"Oh right, it fully manifested yesterday. Bet you had a fun meeting with the higher-ups over it" Shoko said causing Satoru to wrinkle his nose at the mention of the Jujutsu executives.
"Those old fools...I need to be careful. I don't want to become like them" Satoru muttered. The higher-ups had decided to meet with him to discuss Rika's complete manifestation that happened during Maki and Yuta's practice mission at the elementary school.
Let's just say...it wasn't a pleasant conversation.
"Toru, Aunt Shoko!" Satoru immediately perked up at the sweet, dulcet voice. He recognized it immediately. Shoko and Satoru turned to see Hiyori walking towards them with a soft smile gracing her face. Satoru smiled.
"Hiyori-chan~ How was the mission?" Satoru asked while patting her head.
"It was good"
"Where'd you go? Ijichi said you went to the train station instead of coming back yesterday." Satoru asked.
"Oh, I went to Miyagi" Hiyori replied. Satoru furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Miyagi?"
"Did you go to a cemetery? You smell like the dead" Shoko said. She could recognize that smell anywhere from all the times she dealt with the dead. It was better to deal with the dead than alive anyway. She could dissect them however she wanted.
"I do?" Hiyori asked, raising the sleeve of her uniform jacket to smell it. She winced at the stench. "I should probably go take a shower." She decided.
"Oh, but before then, I found something you might be interested in." Hiyori reached into the pocket of her uniform and pulled out two grotesque fingers wrapped in talismans. Shoko and Satoru's eyes widened.
"Two fingers? Not bad, kiddo" Shoko said, patting Hiyori's head while Satoru took the fingers from her. Hiyori hummed in response.
"At this rate, I'll have Sukuna's scent memorized because of these fingers." Tsuki sighed from her place on Hiyori's shoulder. She really didn't want the smell of crusty red old man fingers ingrained in her memory.
"Oh, there's another thing I wanted to speak to you about." Hiyori informed. Shoko and Satoru turned to look at the girl in confusion at the sight of her smile dropping.
