A/N: Please pardon my English, English is not my first language. I received a couple questions about what Maki thought about Yuta last chapter and if that was true or not. To answer your questions, that was just what Maki believed after witnessing Yuta and Hiyori's relationship. Since this story is full of unreliable narrators, it is up to you to decide whether to trust Maki's perspective or not. Is the love that Yuta has felt since the start of this book obsessive? I've left that up to interpretation based on what you all saw from his P.O.V.
I try to capture the characters created by Akutami-sensei to the best of my abilities and I do apologize if there is anything out of character. I'm aware certain scenes may seem strange at first read but they will make sense later on after the two upcoming major arcs.
"Don't make me say it again...get out of here, jujutsu sorcerer!" Junpei shouted angrily, summoning his shikigami. Yuji's eyes widened in surprise. So Junpei had a cursed technique after all. Was everything Junpei said to him yesterday a lie?
"This has nothing to do with you!" Junpei flicked his hand and his moon dregs shikigami attacked Yuji who just barely dodged in time.
"That's not for you to decide!" Yuji shouted, trying to find an opening to get to Junpei. Satoru had told him that the best way to fight a shikigami user was to go for their actual body since that was where they'd be the weakest.
"What's the point of thoughtlessly saving people?" Junpei's eyes widened as he barely managed to dodge Yuji's punch. Junpei scowled.
"THAT'S NOT WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT!" He continued to scream like a madman fueled by vengeance and only vengeance. "All you righteous people full of compassion...all of that..IT'S JUST A BUNCH OF LIES! You can't make me follow those stupid rules!"

It hurt. Even after he was treated with Shoko's reverse cursed technique, the areas where Junpei's moon dregs shikigami dug into his body still hurt. Yuji willed himself to not cry while staring at the sheet-covered lump on one of the tables.
"Are you saying that my mother and I are both cursed by people...with heart?"
'I'm sorry, Junpei. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.'
"We told you to get some rest, Itadori" Yuji didn't need to look up to know who it was. Nanami stared down at the pink-haired boy with an unreadable expression on his face. Part of him felt guilty for making Yuji endure the things he did today. It wasn't easy killing humans even if they were transfigured and considered dead according to Shoko. On top of that, the boy had lost a friend today.
"You gonna lecture me?" Yuji asked, willing his voice to not shake. He hoped Nanami didn't notice how close he was to crying.
"I'm not in a position to lecture someone who saved my life"
