A/N: I went to watch the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie in theaters a couple days ago and it was quite an experience since it's my first time seeing an anime movie in an American theater. I overhead this group sitting near me mention Hiyori's name. At first I thought I was just hallucinating because of my chronic insomnia induced sleep deprivation but then they started talking about the latest chapters. It felt strange listening to them talk about my story and how much it made them cry while just sitting there drinking my tea. To those readers, I apologize for the angst and emotional damage I have caused you with my story. There will be more to come! Your theories are very good.

Hiyori sat up from her bed when she heard the tell-tale sound of the large estate gates shutting. Her bedroom was near the front of the estate so she could hear the sound of the large gates shutting whenever someone left or entered if she listened closely. Back when she was a kid, she would always try her best to listen to the sound of the estate gates in hopes that it was Satoru coming home after another long mission. Now, instead of waiting for someone to come home, she was waiting for everyone to leave.

Satoru had left early in the morning to most likely deal with the aftermath of yesterday's death parade and Megumi had just left now for whatever reason. She was finally alone. It wasn't like she didn't like being around Megumi but she didn't want anyone to see her right now or what she was going to do.

Hiyori ran her fingers through her alabaster hair and pushed her bangs out of her eyes. She would have to trim them before she went back to school. Her violet-blue eyes glanced at the mirror in her room and she fought back a laugh.

She looked like an absolute wreck.

Her eyes were red, her sclera being almost as red as her irises whenever she used Blood Moon, and swollen. Her eye bags were dark, darker than the coal children received from Santa Claus today, and framed her violet-blue eyes in a way that made her almost corpse-like. Her hair was practically a bird's nest from her tugging it out of frustration throughout the night. The nightgown she wore was hanging loosely off one shoulder and one sleeve was ripped, with blood drenching it, from when she broke the glass of orchids Megumi must've left when he found out she was coming home last night.

She hated orchids.

It wasn't Megumi's fault that he hadn't known about her extreme dislike for orchids. She felt guilty for ruining the flowers he had gotten her but the moment she saw the orchids, she saw red. Before she knew it, her hand was bleeding and the vase of orchids was smashed on the ground. At some point during the night, she had cleaned up the aftermath of her fit of blind rage and healed herself but she didn't remember when.

She didn't sleep at all last night. She just couldn't. Instead, she spent the entire night and most of this morning thinking about everything. What if I had said something else that day instead of see you later? What if I had noticed something was wrong before it all went wrong? What if I had stopped him from going on that mission that day? Would things be different now? The endless questions and regrets kept her awake and ripped away any semblance of peace she longed for.
