A/N: I don't think I've ever done this much POV switching in one chapter before.
"Thanks to the intel based on the windows' encounters with residuals found around recent disappearances and deaths by disfiguration, we've located a general approximation of the killer's hideout." Nanami explained, gesturing to the map labeled with various incidents that Ijichi had taped up on the board.
"All right! Let's do this!" Yuji said, hyped to find this killer and take them down.
"Not so fast. We still need to gather more information. Itadori-kun, I'm sure you're already aware of what a cursed user is." Nanami interjected, stopping Yuji before he got too excited about jumping straight into action. Yuji tilted his head in confusion at the sudden mention of cursed users. Megumi had briefly mentioned the existence of them to him in the past so he had a general idea of what they were.
"It's a jujutsu sorcerer with evil intent, right? Are you saying the possible witness is one?" Yuji asked, wondering if the dark-haired boy, with extremely long bangs, in the security footage they analyzed earlier could possibly be a dangerous cursed user. He didn't seem like one.
"It's a possibility but unlikely. The boy at the movie theater, Yoshino Junpei, was apparently the victims' classmate. The security footage from the cameras located in the theater's hallway was analyzed and based on the way Yoshino carried himself, there is no reason to believe he's a cursed user. However, his connection to the victims and whether he possesses the vision to see curses must be investigated. He may have seen the cursed spirit we are searching for. I'm leaving things to you and Ijichi so please work together to investigate Yoshino" Yuji nodded his head in understanding. He felt like a detective in one of those movies he was watching the other day. Maybe he could get one of those brown trench coats too to fit the part.
"Roger! Hey, speaking of which, I don't seem to know any other managers besides you." Yuji commented, turning to look at the black-haired gentleman who he had gotten used to hanging around. Ijichi sweat-dropped.
"Well, I'm the only one that knows you're alive. That's why." Ijichi said, turning to look at Nanami just when Yuji was out of ear shot. They'd known each other since their youth so Ijichi had a suspicion that there was more to this than Nanami had informed Yuji about.
"The location...it's not an approximation is it?" Ijichi asked.
"Of course. If they wanted to, they could've easily left no residuals behind at the crime scene. Leaving them behind was an invitation for me to either go alone or bring Itadori-kun with me. I chose the former since he is still a child after all." Nanami replied. Ijichi nodded his head in understanding.
"NANAMI-SENSEI!" Ijichi jumped upon hearing Yuji's boisterous shout.
"Please be careful. I forgot to say that" Yuji said, popping back into the room. Ijichi smiled. The pink-haired boy before him reminded him of a certain white-haired girl except a lot more louder and excitable.
