CHAPTER 24

Sandro's POV:

IT'S ALREADY 4pm na pero wala pa rin si Althea.

I asked the receptionist thrice na if dumating na ba ang PA ko but wala pa rin daw.

Our meeting started at 3pm. I told her na dapat andito na sya by 2pm.

I called her pero unattended na sya.

"Sandro? Are you okay?" My cousin Matthew asked me.

"Ah... yeah... I'm just wondering why Althea hasn't arrived" I whispered to him.

He nodded.

"Uh.. we can have a 30 minutes break. We'll resume later Congressman" He announced.

"Thanks cuz" I tapped him on his shoulder and nagmadali na akong lumabas.

I checked if andyan na ba sya pero wala pa rin.

I tried calling her again pero unattended talaga ang cellphone nya.

Naisipan ko naman tawagan si Vinny baka nakauwi na sya.

"Yellow?" Vinny said thru phone.

"Vinny! Is Althea home?"

"Nope.. she's not here" He answered.

"Fck" I murmured.

"Why? What happened?" He asked.

"She was supposed to go back here sa capitol after I left her sa mall. She was just going to buy some things eh" I explained.

"Baka naman naglibot-libot muna" Sagot nya naman.

"I can't contact her"

"Is Simon there?" Baka naman magkasama tung dalawa.

"Yep. He's beside me"

"Why? What's wrong?" I heard Simon asked.

"Sandro can't contact Althea" Vinny answered.

"Baka naman namasyal sandali" Simon added.

"That's what I told him"

"Hay naku. Call me na lang if nakauwi na sya" I said then turned off the call.

I texted her a couple more times.

Nagresume naman kami ng meeting and we finished by 7pm.

I tried not to worry.

Baka nga namasyal lang sya.

I checked my phone pero wala pa rin eh.

Unattended pa rin sya.

I called Vinny again pero he said di pa din nakakauwi si Althea.

Iba na ata toh.

I think she's in danger.

"Cuz.. I'll go ahead" I said to Matthew.

"Okay cuz, take care. Balitaan mo ako" He shouted.

I just nodded at him.

Bumalik naman ako sa mall to see if andun pa sya.

Tumulong na din ang security team pero wala talaga.

Halos magko-close na ang mall kaya konti na lang ang tao.

"Sir" Lumapit naman sa akin yung isa sa security ko.

"Yes? Have you seen her?" I asked.

"There is something you need to see sir"

Agad naman kami pumunta sa security office and we checked the CCTV.

She was seen na palabas ng mall.

May dalang paper bags.

She called the taxi pero in just a matter of seconds a van pulled up to her.

They forcely took her.

I saw how she struggled to fight para makatakas. Wala din masyadong nakapansin sa pagkuha sa kanya dahil sobrang bilis ng galaw nila.

Naaawa ako sa kanya.

Umiinit na ang dugo ko sa galit.

Who would do that to her?

I know someone who would do such a thing.

And I am eager to find her.

Wag na wag lang nilang sasaktan si Althea dahil makikita talaga nila kung sino ako.

I ordered the security team to verify the plate number.

Nagpatuloy pa rin ako sa paghahanap sa kanya.

Bigla naman tumawag si Simon.

"Simon I can't-"

"Bro.. you need to go home now" He said.

I can sense that something terrible happened.

Agad akong umuwi, Simon, Vinny and my parents were sitting sa living room.

Nakapalibot naman ang security team.

"What happened?" I asked as I entered.

"Sandro... you need to see this"

Simon handed me his phone.

It is was a photo of Althea!

Nakatali ang kamay, may piring sa mata.

I can see blood on the side of her mouth.

Fck! Sinaktan nila si Althea.

"Sinong nagsend nyan?" I asked Simon.

Ramdam na nila yung galit ko.

"Sandro... calm down" My dad tried to calm me.

"Answer me Simon!" I shouted.

"It was Lily!" Sumagot naman sya.

I knew it!

Napasuntok naman ako sa TV sa sobrang galit.

"Sandro!" My mom shouted.

"The PR team are trying to locate her location. Please calm down" My dad said.

"Pops! Sinaktan nila si Althea!"

"Sinaktan ng Lily na yan!"

Nakayuko na si Simon.

Halos maiyak na din sya.

"Ano ba ang gusto ng Lily na yan? Bakit pati si Althea dinadamay nya?" Tanong naman ni Vinny.

Simon's phone suddenly ring.

Agad kaming lumapit sa kanya.

"It's a video" He said.

"Play it" I commanded him.

"So... this girl? Ito yung babaeng ipinagpalit nyo sa akin? Ha? Kayong pamilya Marcos!"

She was pointing a gun to Althea.

I can see how Althea's tears fell.

Ayokong mag-isip ng masama sa kapwa ko pero halos gusto ko nga patayin si Lily.

"I gave everything to your family. I served all of you. Tapos ito lang igaganti nyo sa akin? You throw me like a garbage just because of this woman?"

Sinabunutan nya naman si Althea.

Ramdam ko ang bawat sakit na nararamdaman nya.

"Lalo ka na Simon... minahal kita... tapos itinapon mo lang lahat ng pinagsamahan natin?!"

"At ikaw Sandro! Are you falling for this woman just like how you fell for me?"

Patuloy pa rin ang pagsubunot nya kay Althea.

"Any last words bitch?" She asked Althea as she pointed the gun on her head.

"I... I like you too..." Althea said.

The camera fell down sa sahig and I saw na natumba din si Althea.

Then a series of gun shots have been heard.

My Althea...
