"ANO?" I asked him

"I mean..." He was thinking.

Ito na ba yun?

Aamin na ba sya?

I can feel the butterflies flying again inside my stomach.

"Althea... I want to tell you that--"

Bigla naman nagring yung cellphone nya.

NAKNANG!!

Jusko sino ba yan?

He looked at me.

"I'm so sorry I've got to take this"

"Uh, yeah of course"

"Hello pops?"

"Yeah? I'm here in Ilocos now. What? Okay... I'll be there in 30."

"Althea, we need to go"

He held my hand and mabilis kaming sumakay ng sasakyan.

Hinatid nya lang ako sa hotel na tutuluyan and he said he will call me.

Pero it's the freaking next day na.

Ni isang tawag or text wala.

What am I supposed to do?

I heard a soft knock on my door, pagbukas ko it was Sandro.

"Hi..."

"What happened?" I asked.

"Yeah.. it's my mom she just got sick yesterday but she's fine now"

He explained.

"Mabuti naman, are we going to work na ba? Just give me 30 minutes mag-aayos lang ako."

"Okay. I'll wait in the car."

He said.

Pumunta kami sa kapitolyo and Simon was there.

"Hey bro...Hey Althea.."

He was smiling at me.

"Simon... what are you doing here? Sino naiwan sa HQ?"

"Vinny.. he said he could handle it naman daw without us"

"Sana naman" Sandro answered.

"So where are you two going?"

Simon asked.

"You are going to Paoay. We need representative for the financial support release of our cash for work program doon."

Sumingit naman si Gov.

"Us? Simon and I?" Sandro asked.

"Yep. So get going na. Bawal kayong ma-late"

Pagdating namin, late nga kami huhu

The program has started and Sandro immediately did his speech.

Magkatabi naman kami ni Simon.

The event was held sa gilid ng isang river.

Fresh nga yung hangin eh, katulad ko. Rawr.

Habang nakikipag usap si Sandro sa mga tao, kami naman ni Simon ang nag-usap.
