Epilogue. Chapter 30.

Hoseok's POV 

When we got to the hospital, Jungkook took my hand in his before putting his other hand on the door handle. 

I might cry right now if I'm honest, now everything is coming to me like a wrecking ball. 

"Ready?" He asks. 

I shrugged, not trusting my voice. 

Jk sighs agreeing with my silence, as he opened the door. 

However, we did not expect to see what we were seeing. 

"Em?" Jk said, and when Emily saw him, her smile grew wider. 

Sarah was with her and I cannot believe my own eyes. 

I was expecting the worst. 

"Hey." She said and with that, Jk separated our hands and went almost running towards her, embracing her in a huge hug. 

"Thank goodness you are okay." I heard jk say and in that moment, Emily opened her eyes from the hug and saw me. Another smile appearing on her face. 

"Hi." I said and jk gave me space so I could embrace her now in another hug. "I missed you."

"But I was never gone." She says and I separated from the hug, but still was very close to her. 

"It was as if you were though." 

She looked worried at me and then looked down at her lap and whispered "Sorry." 

"What? Why would you say sorry? You have nothing to be sorry for." I told her and she looks now at my eyes again. 

"Because I made you feel pain and I would never want to hurt you. Y-You saved me." 

When she said that, a smile came to my lips and I couldn't be happier right now. 

"Um, sorry to interrupt, but I kind of want to have a moment with my sister, if that's okay with you Hobi of course." Jk said as he put his hand on my shoulder and I looked at him, nodding. 

"Yeah, yeah, I can come back later." I said, mostly to Emily so she knows I'm not really going anywhere. 

She smiles at me and I look at Sarah who I totally forgot she was in the room as well. 

I excused myself and left the room, with the biggest smile on my face I've had in a very long time. 

Jungkook's POV 

Once Hobi was out of the room, which I knew he wasn't going anywhere, he will probably just stay outside waiting for his turn, I look at Emily with a smirk on my face. 

She was still smiling and looking down at her lap. 

"Something going on sis?" I asks her as I sat down beside her. Mom was on her phone so she wasn't really paying attention. 

"Uh?" She asks, as she now looks at me and saw the smirk on my face. "Oh God..." 

She is now blushing. 

"You and Hobi eh?" I said while teasing her. 

"Can you blame me? He literally saved my life and he is very good looking." 

"Ha! I knew it." I laugh a little when I saw her covering up her face, she was so so red right now. 

"Shut up." 

I'm feeling so happy right now, being able to be with her awake and mom. 

I can't believe everything is okay now. 

"Did I make you suffer as well?" She asks me and this time, her smile has faded and her eyes watery. 

"Of course we all worried about you Em. But you shouldn't feel bad about that now, the important thing is that you are okay and you are alive." I told her and she nodded as a tear slide down her face. "Don't cry." I wipe the tear away from her face. 

"Sorry." 

"You apologize way too much." I said as I smile a little at her and she had a small smile now. 

"Bad habit of mine." 

"Yeah, I can tell." 

There was now silence in the room until mom cut it off. 

"Are you feeling anything bad right now Emily?" I can now see how she interacts with Emily, and I don't understand how or why she treats her like she is nothing. 

I thought that maybe, since, I don't know, Emily almost died, mom would treat her better. 

I didn't even believed Em when she told me that mom and her weren't on good terms most of the time. 

"No, I think I'm fine." Em said, and I look at mom to see her on the phone. 

"Okay, perfect. I'm so behind at work, so I have to leave back to USA. I need you and Jung-kook to come as soon as you get out of the hospital." When she said that, my eyes widened.

I can't leave. 

At least not now. I'm also behind at work and have a lot of explaining to do for ARMY. 

But what shocked me the most is that she isn't wasting any time. Her daughter almost died and she doesn't care, she is now leaving. 

Just like that. 

I saw Emily's face and she was now sad again. 

Fuck. 

I just want her to be happy for once but mom isn't making it easy. 

"When are you leaving?" I asks her, as she was now standing up. I don't know if she even talked to Emily when she woke up before I got here with Hobi, but she didn't talk to her once now that I am here. 

"Tonight. I have to get everything ready." She took her purse and phone and gave me a kiss on the forehead, which now felt weird, because she didn't even gave Emily a hug. 

I know I should say something, but I'm not sure it's my place to do so. 

And just like that, she was out of the door. 

Not looking back. 

Wow. 

There was a tense silence until I heard a sniffle and realized she was now crying. 

Of course. 

Now I don't know if I love my mom or if I hate her. 

I guess I don't know her that well to decide. 

"Do you... um do you want me to talk to her?" I asks her. 

"No no that will just make it worse. I've tried." She said and I look at her with sad eyes. 

"Do you have any idea why she is like that with you?" 

She shook her head and I sigh as I gave her another hug and felt her tears on my shirt. 

"It's fine though, I've lived this way since forever, so it's fine." 

I know it's not fine and she knows it's not fine. Why is she lying? 

Suddenly, Hoseok opened the door without knocking, but looked very stressed. 

"Hobi what's wrong?" I asks as we separated from the hug. 

"Um, sorry but there is a guy here that says he is looking for Emily but I've never seen him before and he is making a lot of scene outside, and-" 

"JUST LET ME SEE HER!" Suddenly, someone pushed Hobi out of the way. 

"C-Chris?" Em said, as she was now in absolute shock. 

"Em." He said, as he was now looking relieved to see her.
