25 - "Chinese food"

I woke up in my bedroom. Karl or Sapnap must have brought me in here.

It was just getting dark out and I looked around my room.

Alex's stuff was gone from my room and it was like he was never here.

Maybe the past week was all a bad dream.

Maybe if I walk out of my room, I'll find mt house just as it was before I was exposed.

I didn't want to get out of bed but I hopped up because I had to pee.

Honestly it wasn't much of an effort but my body aches.

I got up and went into the bathroom.

My house was quiet and the only sound was me peeing.

Ayo I got like three more days of my period.

Anyways after peeing, I did the usual routine.

I checked my tired face in the mirror and then headed to the kitchen.

It really did seem like everything was a dream.

I opened the fridge and was greeted with a note.

Hey Kade, I went to get Sap from the warehouse. We will be back in a few hours since he wanted to get takeout on the other side of the city. Also I tidied up your apartment because I was bored. Um that's all. Oh also there's a cupcake I saved for you. xoxo Karl ❤️

I smiled at the note and pulled out a cupcake from my stream.

It was semi smashed and looked kind of weird but I ate it.

Some post couple argument cake was much needed.

I hummed and sat at my couch to watch Netflix.

I put on one of my favorite shows, The 100.

Great show, hot people and it's kind of gay.

Anyway that's what I did for about four episodes.

I squealed at every twist and turn the deliquints made as they walked around even though I've seen the entire show before.

My favourite characters had to be either Raven or Bellamy or Murphy.

They were super underrated and also have the most tragic back stories.

I cuddled into the blanket that Karl had folded on the couch.

Then a scent hit me.

It smelled like Alex.

And I swear I have never cried harder than when I smelled that blanket that smelled like cheap cologne and men's shampoo.

I mean, he just left me alone as I suffered verbal assault from someone I didn't even know.

And basically that hurt me more than anything else I've ever experienced.

Tears rolled down my cheeks and I was snapped back to reality as a grounder attacked Raven on the TV.

I heard the door to my apartment unlock and quickly wiped my tears.

It was 7:30 now and that cupcake didn't do much.

Also considering my munch was dumped on me, I haven't eaten much today.

I wanted to shut my memories out of my head because now that I was hungry, the image of Maria dumping food on me replayed in my mind nonstop.

Tears threatened to spill but the warm voice of Karl filled my ears.

Shutting off the TV, I made my way to Karl and hugged him.

"Hey sleepy head. Happy birthday," He greeted.

"Happy birthday Kayden," Sapnap said.

They had takeout bags in their hands and we sat down to eat.

It was Chinese food that Sap wanted from a five star restaurant that supposedly was eaten by Gordon Ramsay himself.

And from the first bite, it was the most heavenly food I have ever eaten.

"How's your day been?" I asked the guys as I went for my second serving of dumplings.

"Pretty good. Jimmy wanted us to do a video before we had to leave. I'm going back home in a week to move my stuff to New York," Karl said. Then he moved closer to me and lowered his voice to a whisper. "And hopefully Sappy will move in with me once I ask him."

He grinned and I smiled. They were such a cute couple.

"What was that?" Sap asked as he ate a very expensive looking spring roll.

"Nothing," Karl and I said at the same time.

"Okay?" He said as he eyed us suspiciously.

We continued eating and Karl dropped subtle hints about Sapnap moving to New York.

"You know we could go to a museum together," Karl said as he shifted his gaze to his food.

"We've never been to Central Park, babe. We should go," He said loudly as Nick checked his phone.

"How about the Museum of Natural history," He whispered. "They have dinosaurs."

"What is going on?" Sapnap finally asked. "You're saying the most random shit Kar."

"I was going to ask you this later but I forgot my ADHD meds so I'll ask you now," Karl said as he got down on one knee.

I was thinking he was going to propose but then I remembered what Karl told me before.

"Will you move to New York with me?" Karl asked as he pulled out a berry ring pop from his sweatshirt pocket.

Sap looked confused but he finished chewing and then responded.

"Yes I'll move to New York with you dumbass," He said, pulling Karl back up.

Karl kissed Sapnap and then went to find his meds to take before he bounced off the walls.

"Are you excited?" I asked Nick who was holding the ring pop.

"Yeah, I mean, I get to move in with my best friend slash boyfriend. I never thought I'd get this far. My mom won't be too happy though," Sap said, scratching his neck.

"It's fine. Besides now you get to see me all the time and I'm the life of the party," I joked with him.

Sapnap's lips turned up in a smile, "I get to see two Jacobs siblings for the price of one move to New York."

I grinned as Karl came back to the table and we finished eating.

Maybe things were going to get better.
