Trigger warning: sexual assault
Hope Whitlock
My new tattoo doesn't hurt much, which is a good sign, it is still fresh and I have to make sure to apply the antiseptic cream given so it doesnt get infected. I've been thinking about getting it for so long and I thought, if I don't do it right now, I'll never do it. We go directly to the club since I wasn't really in the mood for changing, the ride was still really fast and scared me but I think I handled it better than last time.
I was surprised that Harry hadn't yelled at me by now, everything I did seemed to annoy him but he was more patient with me even though his very obvious irritation. I was expecting some screaming. I also need to remember to pay him back for earlier, I can just buy him a drink when I get to the club.
He walks straight to the entrance, ignoring the line up outside the club with me behind him, I feel bad for the people waiting outside as always. When we get inside, he doesn't even need to push through the bodies to get to where he wants to, the people around took one look at him and made way. What is he? Some sort of gang leader? It's good to know that I'm not the only one who feels intimidated by him though.
We get to a more private area when he turns to me and speaks to me for the first time since the tattoo parlor, "Sit, and don't move." He gestures to the empty couch as he speaks.
I don't understand what his deal is, he was the one who offered to take me to the tattoo place, I didn't even want to go with him, all I asked for was an address. Instead of being so awful and annoyed for having to spend time with me, he could have easily said no.
Harry is worse than a child throwing temper tantrums sometimes, his mood is always unpredictable.
My stomach clenches with nerves at the way he is behaving, his presence making me nervous as always while the taut look on his face makes me feel smaller and unable to fight back. Why should I just sit here alone while he gets to do whatever the hell he wants?
I unwillingly take a seat on the couch only to see him leave me alone. I sit there alone for 20 minutes thinking he will come back or anyone will be here by now but no one comes.
When no one shows up for the next 10 minutes, I get up and go to the bar and spot Jace sitting alone with a drink in his hand. "This seat taken?" I stand behind him, gesturing to the empty bar stool beside him and he turns around to get up from his seat and wrap his arms around me, "Heyy, I didn't know you were here." I hug him back feeling a little confused about why he wasn't in the VIP section, they all usually sit there.
"Why didn't you come to the VIP area?" I pull out of the hug and take a seat on the bar stool, gesturing for the bartender to come my way so I can order a drink. "I was told not to go there." He shrugs and moves his chair closer to me. He is wearing a plain white tshirt like mine with some light wash blue jeans and a black leather jacket over his shoulders so his tattoo filled arms are not seen. He has a lip ring in the middle of his bottom lip, one that I haven't noticed before and his blonde hair is styled carefully to look neat but messy at the same time.
"Who told you that?" It better not be Harry because abandoning me is just mean. We get interrupted by the bartender who is named Joe, "What can I get for you, angel?" Not the nicknames again. "Uhm.. bourbon please." I smile as they give me a nod and go to the other side of the bar to get my drink.
"So, she has taste." Jace laughs at my choice of drink, "and he has a lip ring now." I let him know I noticed it and hoping he would talk more about it, it suits him, makes him look hot.
