The Abyss

~No One~
Selene became more aware of her actions and her feelings. She unintentionally acted more shy around Pietro. The team noticed as well, but nobody dared say anything.

"Why is Selene acting like a schoolgirl with a first crush?" Except Akal.

"Because she is a girl with a first crush." And Héctor.

"Héctor, go to the training room, Selene's waiting!"

~Selene~
I sat and made little hearts with the elements in my hand. "Mates, huh?" I had never given much thought to the idea of a mate.

"Having fun there, Cupid?" Héctor and Tony stood next to me.

I was a little embarrassed, but quickly got over it. "Why are you here Stark?"

"Relax, mutt. I was just bringing Ricky Martin to you." Tony pointed to Héctor, then to the control room. "I'll be up there with the others."

I didn't want the team to see me training with Héctor yet. I looked to him, but he just winked. "Relax, mi hija."

With the snap of his fingers, we were standing on nothing. Nothing but a strange drawing in a black abyss. "Where are we, Héctor?"

"Your abuela gave this to me when my powers first appeared. My plan was to give it to you when the time came." The man looked down. "But, as you can see, that did not happen. And for that, I'm sorry, Rosie."

I growled and my voice became deeper, distorted almost. "My name is Selene!"

~Héctor~
(Good, it's working.) I circled Selene, waiting.

"What are you doing to me?!" She curled into a ball screaming.

"What do you mean, Rosie? I'm not even touching you."

"I can't control myself! Why?!"

"Ask yourself." I squatted next to her. "This room takes your fears, and uses them against you." I looked around and saw Selene's friends. Illuminated by moonlight.

"No!" Her body's change was complete and she charged full speed at 'her friends'.

"Stop it! Why can't I stop?!" Selene scratched and bit them.

"Волчица, why did you do this?" The boy she loved reached for her, holding his stomach.

Selene tore into them more.

"I thought you loved us?" The sister of the boy collapsed next to him, she was clutching her chest.

~No One~
Selene fought insistently to control herself, but to no avail. She screamed as hard and as loud as her body could, before collapsing.

(I could have warned her at least.) Héctor looked down at the girl, heart full of guilt. "I'm just impressed she didn't die." He picked up his daughter's body and returned them to the training room.
