Selene Frostsong was a homeless shifter that was abandoned by her family on her second birthday. The Avengers took her in and gave her a new life. But what happens when a man appears in this new life of hers? A man claiming to be her father?

~Selene~ I was woken up by my blankets being ripped away from me.
"Wanda!" "Sister!"
"Come on, you two! The Avengers are going on a trip. You need to get up and get ready!"
"Is it to where I think it is?"
"Yes. We were told you were the one that asked. And then Héctor explained everything."
"Where are we going, dathúil?"
"You'll see. We need to get ready though. I'm sure the ladies will help you pack." Pietro was about to leave my room.
"Wait." I walked over to the male twin and pressed my lips to his. "Okay, now I can get ready."
He zoomed off with a goofy grin.
"For someone that didn't know what a kiss was until recently, you're awfully comfortable doing it." Natasha smirked from the door way. Pepper right behind her. They came into my room.
"Yes, but Tony says that I should nip his ear like the she-wolves in my pack would. He said it would mean more to Pietro."
"I don't even know what to say to that." Pepper looked to the redheads for help but Natasha was laughing and Wanda was shaking slightly with a hand over her mouth.
"I say do it."
"Just don't forget to video it. His ears are very sensitive."
"You two are awful." The strawberry blonde shook her head.
-Time Skip-
"How long are we going for?"
"At least a week." Wanda stepped out of my closet with a few shirts and some pairs of pants in her arms.
"Is it for a mission?" I was excited that we were going somewhere.
"Of sorts, yeah. A mission for Pietro, that just so happens to involve you." Natasha rummaged through my drawers.
"Then why is everyone else coming?"
"To make sure it all goes according to plan." Pepper patted my shoulder to let me know she was finished with my hair. "Now what should we put you in?"
"I'll just go in wolf form."
"Héctor said we can't keep letting you shift. The closer it gets to the full moon, the harder it will be to shift back. And you need to be completely human for this trip." Wanda held up a few of the new things that I got at the store. "After the full moon, you can shift to your heart's content."
"That works."

I stood looking at my reflection in my full length mirror.

"I will most likely end up asking you to remove the necklace and earrings later."
"We figured as much, but we want you to wear them as long as you can tolerate them." Natasha adjusted my collar, and Wanda wrapped an arm around me.
~Pietro~ "Pietro?"
I walked out of my bathroom to see Héctor standing in my doorway.
"I'm almost finished packing. What do you need?"
"I want you to take these." Selene's father pulled three boxes from his pockets. They each had an intricate series of knots on them. Celtic infinity knots to be exact. "Selene's mother sent them to me, after I called her about the full moon."
I accepted one of the boxes and opened it. Inside was a ring, obviously meant for a woman. Héctor opened one of the other boxes and in it was another ring but larger. They were almost identical in design. Oak leaves and wolves made up the woman's ring. Oak leaves and wolves made up the larger ring as well but two rims were added to give it a more masculine appearance.
"What's in the last box?"
"They're all heirlooms passed down from parent to child, when they get a mate. I'll tell you and the others more once we get to Ireland."
