In An Alley

My head was muddled with different thoughts, that kept repeating. (What could she have wanted to ask? Is there a way to stop her transformation? If so, then what is it? I went for a run to clear my head and take my mind off things, but now I'm even more confused.) I do realize that just thinking about these things won't resolve anything, but I feel so useless right now.

"Don't play stupid with me, Hellen! Our daughter is scared and I don't know what to do! I already blamed it on my ancestors, so please just tell me how to help her! It's your fault this is even happening!"

Héctor's voice came from a nearby alley, so I stopped and went to investigate. I could only hear one side of the conversation, but I still wanted to listen. Because it had to do with Selene.

"I don't care that you have a daughter with a man you love! You have a daughter with me too, and you said you loved me!" Héctor's anger was evident in his voice. "You're the only one that can help her, but you won't! You really disgust me, the way you can just abandon a daughter as soon as you have another, then pretend the first never existed." (So, her mother is the reason Волчица has to go away?)

"It's not too late to become mates?"
"That's all it'll take? You're serious?"
"After this first transformation, there won't be anymore problems?"
"If my daughter gets hurt during this..." Héctor turned in my direction. "You better watch out. Because, I'll come for you and I won't be alone." The man hung up and shook his head, before calling out. "Come on out, boy." (He knew I was there, but how long did he know?)

I stepped out from behind the dumpster and folded my arms at him. "How long?"

"As soon as you hid behind the dumpster." He began walking out of the alley and gestured for me to follow him. "I have a few things to talk with you about."

-Time Skip-

"So, to sum things up, all I have to do is spend time with her and then ask?"

"You need to spend as much time as you can in the remaining days before the full moon and as soon as it hits midnight on the night before, you ask her to be your mate. She could also do this. But you need to ask her where you first met."

"I need to talk to Fury then."

"Why?"

"Because the Avengers met Selene in Ireland."

-Time Skip-

I walked through the door to the tower, Héctor right behind me. I was surprised to find Fury sitting on one of the couches.

"Fury, I need to ask something."

"And what would that be?"

"To take Selene and go to Ireland. Today."

"Explain."

"It has to do with her transformation on the full moon, I can help her. At exactly midnight, the night before, I have to ask her to be mine in the spot that I met her."

"Mr Torres?"

"I have something to talk to you about. Pietro, yes?"

I turned my head to look at Héctor. "Yes?"

"I need you to get started on your part."

"Got it."

-Mini Time Skip-

I softly opened Selene's door to see that she was asleep. So, I entered her room and tiptoed to her bed. I then took off my shoes, crawled under the blanket, took her into my arms, and buried my face in her hair.

Selene stirred slightly, "Dathúil?"

"Hey, Волчица." She snuggled closer to me. "You seem to be enjoying that you got to go back to sleep."

"Yep, now nap time."
