A mundane life, everyday chores
A million things to do, encores
Routine stifles, boredom gores
Could she ditch duty, defy mores?
Life, spouse, parents, children
Careers, responsibility, and brethren
Gradually the fire in her soul
Hushes to embers, nothing whole
Daughter to the parents,
Sister to her Bro, Wife to Him,
Mother of the little ones
Keeping all in trim
Diving into each role,
Performing with glee
Pouring in all heart, her soul
'What am I to you', her plea?!
Teacher, tailor, cook and cleaner
Intense thoughts, passive demeanor
Every part she plays, domestic designer
That which she needs, will it find her?
Everyone's anchor, she's now adrift
Meaningful existence, a paradigm shift
With time and progress, come change and rift
Once indispensable, then useful, now has just love to gift
That's the fight, to find purpose again
Not being needed, that is pain
Many are like you, common refrain
Keep in touch, your ties retain
Bringing advice, she's a sister
Laughter and cheer, she's a friend
Some home truths, a bitter pill
Medicine does help, trust her still
Make friends, meet fairies, new faces
Keep space in your heart, good graces
The Universe has magic, leaves it's traces
Against despair, even as your heart braces
That's the new job, that's a great role
Living outside oneself, set a good trend
Helping to achieve each other's goal
