Sam!? - Part 7

We walked out to see Matt sitting on the couch in deep concentration and Woods pacing. If we didn't know any better you would think I was dying. Both of their heads shot up when they heard the door close.

"Sam. I'm so sorry" Matt started

"No," I said

"No?" Matt asked confused

"I'm Sorry.. I'm so sorry.. I lied and I..." I said choking on my tears

"Hey.. hey.. You have nothing to be sorry for" Woods stated

"But I do.. I lied and you don't deserve that.."

"No, don't talk like that. it's ok you've been through alot. We should of noticed" Matt said

I looked at Bailey. I couldn't hear this anymore. I couldn't hear them blame themselves for something I did.

"How about we talk about what happened with the phantom. We should have asked you sooner" Bailey said changing the topic

"Here sit down Sam" Matt said moving over for me to sit

"Thank you" I said sitting

"Now what happened.." Woods asked

"He wanted something... I couldn't give it to him...I couldn't" I said

"What did he want? I heard you yelling you wouldn't give him 'it'" Woods continued

"The code.."

"To the vault?" Matt asked

I nodded

"Crap." Woods whispered

"I didn't tell him I swear" I said quickly

"That's not why he said that" Matt said

I looked at him confused

"It's because you didn't tell the phantom"

"What?!" I asked

"Why didn't you just tell him he would of left you alone" Woods said a mix of anger and defeat seeping into his voice

"Because He would have been able to get into the evidence..It's too important to lose"

"What about you?!" Matt screamed

"He almost injected you! We all almost lost you! Me, Matt, Bailey, Ryan, Quinn, everyone!" Woods screamed pointing at the ones in the room

"Woods.." I started

"What do you think we would have done If you got injected!!??" Matt asked

"I Don't know I wasn't thinking about that" I said

"Exactly!" Woods said

"Sam.. for some reason he's after you. If he tries to attack you again promise us you will give him whatever he wants" Matt said seriously

"I can't what if he wants to know where you guys are? Or for me to hurt you?!" I started

"Then you do it. He's already assaulted Woods and we're not letting him assault you too." Matt said

"Matt..No..I won't" I said tears in my eyes

"Yes you will. promise us " Woods said

I looked both of them in the eyes, both begging.

"I promise," I said, tears streaming down my face.

We all hugged and went our different ways
