She'd been living underneath a shadow, she hadn't seen the light in so long. Hell, you could practically see the raincloud hovering over her head as she went about her day. She'd been alone for far too long - trapped in the past, and unable to move on.
He'd been hiding his hopes and dreams, never letting anyone in to see them, just in case he could use them one day. He'd been setting aside time to meditte, to think, to clear some space in the back corners of his mind.
She'd been watching the sky at night, but the stars couldn't permeate the dark clouds. She'd been searching, trying to find someone, but there were no signs. It had to be out there, right? Someone for her, someone would understand her, be for her.
He'd been looking for someone to shed some light on his life, not just another one-night-stand, or a pretty girl on his arm for a party. He could use some help, someone to point him in the right direction. And he was open to anyone's suggestions, even hers.
She had a few moments where she didn't know if it was real. Moments when she had no idea if he felt like she felt. She needed inspiration, a kickstart, something brand new and exciting. Not just a negotiation, something more.
But all they both wanted to do was find a way back into love, because neither of them could make it through without it. And if they were to open their hearts to each other, they would have to be there for each other in the end, they would have to help each other, guide each other through new territory. If they were to start over together, they would always be there for each other in the end.
