As we walked further into the house, I was quite surprised at what we saw. It was dark and dusty, with just a ray of light coming in through a small window. There was a small bed at the far end. The room was pretty much empty.

The hollow wooden floor creaked a bit, and I looked beside me where Xavier was supposed to be standing, but he wasn't there. I panicked a little, my eyes roaming the place for him. I felt like the girl in a horror movie that was going to be feasted on by some creepy animal. Calm down, Tyler, I heard his soothing voice in my head.

Oh great, I'm hearing him in my head too!

Then something snapped under me and I let out a scream laced with horror.

"Are you alright?" I felt a pair of arms encircle my waist and I relaxed, knowing perfectly well who it was.

"Of course not! Why did you leave me?" I said, then realized how my words must have sounded like.

He turned me around to face him,"We're lost. I have no idea where we are. Don't worry, I'll call someone to help."

I nodded slowly. Stupid me! It was all my fault.

He dialed some numbers and pressed the phone to his ear.

"No reception," he said.

"This place scares the shit out of me," I rubbed up and down my arm.

Then he drew closer to me. I felt the warmth of his palms on my cheeks. His mouth approached mine and my eyes closed in anticipation. His lips gently brushed mine. It was soft, yet mouthwatering.

Then the sudden vibration caused us to jump apart. His stupid phone had to ring and spoil everything.

"Ava?" He answered. Oh, great! Ava...

"What do you want?" He asked, his voice dripping with ice. The female voice on the other end was cringe worthy. I heard her say something else but he didn't bother to answer.

Shake it off - Taylor Swift

May.

"Should I get us some drinks?" Leon asked. I nodded and sat on a nearby stool in front of the bar. I was exhausted. We'd been dancing for half an hour because we were out what to say to each other.

Honestly, the guy was boring and I was regretting coming with him to the party. Tyler, Xavier and the hosts hadn't arrived. They should have called me or something, if they had difficulties coming.

Lily, my brother's girlfriend, was marching up to me, crying. Oh, no. The last thing I wanted to do was hear her complain. I looked around, trying not to meet her teary eyes.

"May," she sobbed.

"Oh, Lily. You seem happy," I plastered a huge smile.

"Not at all," she said,"it's Dimitri. I think he's breaking up with me, because of some guy who forced himself on me some days back."

"I truly am sorry," I faked sympathy,"go home home now, dear. Smile and give yourself a pat on the head."

She thanked me and left. Finally!

Leon returned with our drinks. What do we do now? Dance some more?

He handed me a plastic cup and I took a sip. It burned my throat, but I liked it. I drank some more.

"So, are you enjoying the party," he asked, trying to make conversation.

"No," I drawled, the alcohol kicking in,"let's do something fun."

"What do you have in mind?" He grinned sheepishly.

"Let's go over there and play fetch with that dog," I giggled and pointed to what I thought was a dog.

"May, that's a dude with very long hair. You're drunk," he said, standing up.

"It's a puppy. See, here boy!" I disagreed and clapped my hands.

He slid his hands under my legs and lifted me up. He started for the nearest exit while I sang a wedding tune.

Charlie.

I spotted her leave and my heart danced with joy. Dimitri returned. Oh my, he was avoiding her! This was going to be good...

Our eyes met. He stared just a little too long, making me grin. Then he tore his gaze off me.

"Hit me," I said to the guy behind the counter. He poured me some alcohol and I drank it all in one swig. It was good. I never drank much, but now I had the chance to, I might as well keep refilling my glass.

I felt electricity buzz in my veins. I was dangerously confident and as an effect, I walked over to where he was standing. He lifted his eyes up and looked directly at me.

"Well hello," I purred.

"Hi," he said and I frowned.

Just kiss the life out of him already! And yeah, I did it! I felt so fulfilled.

"You're drunk," he stated after catching his breath.

"Call me," I whispered and sashayed away. Yay, Charlie!

I was really drunk, but I could drink more often and cross some stuff off my bucket list.

Tyler.

It was terrible. The atmosphere was pure awkward. After the pathetic excuse of a kiss and Ava calling, we had said nothing to each other.

Then my phone which I'd totally forgotten about, beeped. A text from May.

Where are you???

Well, it wasn't that but I had assumed it was. Her original text was gibberish – she was obviously drunk.

I composed a reply, stating that we needed help, then tapped send. I was really hoping she could help us out.

"What's that?" Xavier asked, looking at the phone.

"May sent a message," I replied. I was clueless about what had happened earlier, and if it would change our relationship.

"Oh"

I could sense he felt weird too.

I felt bad that we couldn't make it to the party, but I was grateful I was out of the creepy house and in the back of May's car which Leon was driving.

Serena and Tommy had vanished and Charlie was in the house in a pretty bad state. So, not a good day for everyone. All I wanted to do was snuggle up in my bed and sleep forever.
