Mystery.

I watched them staring into each others eyes, watching the stars in the beautiful evening. It made me furious, made my head turn.

"Shit!" I banged my fists in the air. The woman beside me on the park bench glared at me before leaving with her little boy. As if the boy wouldn't be corrupted someday. He wouldn't stay innocent forever.

I didn't understand how she had the ability to control me. Since the day she appeared, she'd captured me. Psycho. Stalker. Whatever they called me I needed to have her.

Their eyes met and I felt my body tense. They rose and I felt the sudden urge to follow. I walked a distance behind them, trying not to make it obvious.

She let out a little laugh. Why was she laughing? What was he saying that was so funny??
Tyler.

"Today was really fun X," I said, strapping my seatbelt.

"Yeah," he said as he bit his bottom lip.

"Stop doing that!" I pouted.

"What?" He asked amused. He was turning on his sexy charm and I was definitely getting weak because of it. He was just too attractive, I hated him.

"You're doing that thing," I replied lamely. I was so stupid I didn't even know what I was saying anymore.

"Look," he became serious,"we should do this some other time. Maybe watch a movie."

"Saturday," I blurted out, then immediately scolded myself for sounding so desperate.

"Saturday, then," he said, smiling.

"Where have you two been?" May demanded, her hands on her hips. What was she even doing in our house?

"Calm down May," I walked over to her, rubbing down her back. She sighed and pushed my hand away.

"I've been looking for you, Ty. My flight has been shifted. By two weeks!" She informed me. I sat on the dining chair next to her. She was biting off the head of a green gummy bear. Gosh, she didn't have respect for food.

"I didn't think you wanted to go to Milan that bad," I said as X mouthed that he was leaving. I nodded and he left us.

"Course I do. It'll be fun," she said, her mood changing. She had awful mood swings which Reen and I always had to deal with.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure. I just can't wait to get out of college," I said. Enough of school. I wanted to live life and have fun before thinking about settling down with a job and that shit.

May and I talked for a few before she decided to leave. I decided I needed to sleep and thought. The date- or could I call it a date? -was in two days.

The annoying 'wake up' song was sung by Reen and her stupid screechy voice. She was the only cheerful one in the mornings. I was no Cinderella waking up happily and singing while making my bed with birds. I was usually grumpy and irritable.

"Wake up, wake up!" She said, opening the blinds and letting the sunshine into the room.

"Shut it!" I told her.

"Wake up, Ty," I heard X's voice command.

I shot up and heard Reen sighing.

Ugh, I had an early lecture this morning and I needed to get ready.

After taking a bath, I looked for something simple to wear. A cream button up shirt and black fitted trousers. I applied some nude lipstick and packed my hair to the side with a scrunchie.

I drove myself. X wasn't going to watch over me forever so why not start now?

I admired my car, just a few scratches at the side because of somebody's reckless driving (Reena) I regret letting her use in the first place. I treasured it so much. Was my 19th birthday present. Dad did know how to spoil me.

****

The car stopped moving. What the hell? I Was out of gas and the road was free, no cars for miles.

"No need to panic, I'll just call X or Reena," I assured myself. I dialed Reen's number, it was ringing.

"Hello," she answered breathlessly. What was she doing? Ew came to my head. She must have been kissing...

"I'm out of gas like I need your help," I said quickly.

"Your gastric problems are not my concern Ty. You know you cant tell me every single thing," she said.

"No. Gas, for my car, stupid," I corrected.

I heard a voice in the background sounding annoyed. Yup, I was right. Uncle Tommy was totally giving her the best make out session of her life.

"Sorry. I'm uh.. Busy with some important stuff. Work," she quickly ended the call. Kissing isn't work!

My phone started ringing. Keenan.

"Keenan! I've never been so happy that you called," I said brightly.

"I get that effect on the ladies," I could almost see him smirking.

"Yeah, yeah. Please I need help. I'm next to the Wildflower's coffee shop," I told him.

"On my way," he said quickly. I sighed in relief.
