Tyler.
"So what would you guys like for dinner?" I asked pulling out frozen items from the grocery bags. I'd gone shopping earlier because the house was so freaking full of people. X, ever the gentleman had helped me carry the groceries upstairs.
"Chicken," Charlie answered.
"Pasta," X announced simultaneously.
"Both," Reen decided walking to the fridge to get a drink.
"Yeah, cos you'd cook," I muttered sarcastically.
"We love you Ty," she blew me a kiss.
"Pasta and chicken it is!" I proclaimed.
I set to work while my three wonderful housemates settled in front of the TV.
"I hope you're making for five," Serena called. "Tommy's coming."
"Great, just great." I huffed.
***
"Ey, what's up mofos?!" I heard his obnoxious voice. I closed the oven a little harder than I should and walked out to see Tommy greeting X.
They had somehow become friends.
"Oh look who's here? Tommy, what a surprise!" I fake smiled.
"Sup kid," he smacked my forehead. He really had nerves. How was he the only guy with the ability to get me annoyed?
"Ow" I whined and glared at him.
"For once, your cooking smells like actual food."
The best compliment from him yet.
Then Charlie walked in before I could fire back at him.
"Hey, Char-lee," he sang. "You've grown an inch taller."
"Um, hi Tom." She waved.
"Babe!" Serena interrupted. She'd changed into a cute black top. And all for the annoying boyfriend.
They hugged and smooched while I tried not to gag. X and Charlie had gone back to the TV and I stood there awkwardly.
"Hey shouldn't you go check on dinner?" Tommy spoke over their hug. "Smells nice, by the way," he added politely.
Unbelievable!
"Why, thank you," I clenched my teeth. "Could you please set the table?"
"Of course, anything to help."
Reena followed me to the kitchen with a grin.
"He's soo perfect," I drawled in sarcasm.
"I know right?" she chirped, completely oblivious.
"Yeahhh," I drained the pasta.
"What do you think I should get him?" Reen asked.
"I thought his birthday was last year."
"For our anniversary, stupid"
"Ohh, that," I remembered. "When is it again?"
"Sa-tur-day."
"I'm sorry Reen, its just, I never made it that long in a relationship." I sighed.
"I know, I know, you're the single cat lady," she rolled her eyes. "But just help me."
"Get him a watch," I shrugged. "And I'm not a single cat lady!" I flung a kitchen towel at her.
"Oh how could I forget, you have Xavier," she wiggled her eyebrows.
"He's my bodyguard," I whined in defense.
"He's your hot bodyguard"
"No, stop Reena!"
"You don't think he's hot?"
"No, I do! I mean he is but not because I check him out. I- I just see and um you know." I stammered.
Her eyebrows were quirked and she was smiling. Not good. "Just take this," I thrust a bowl of sauce to her.
"Okay, but remember that you think he's hot when you're seating beside him." She grinned.
"I'm not seating beside him." I defended.
*****
I sat next to X trying to ignore the looks Reena sent me. She had purposefully made us sit next to each other. I don't know how she did it. The bitch.
I must confess being next to him wasn't a terrible thing. My barely used dining table wasn't used to this number and we had to add extra chairs so there were times when our arms touched.
We were all arguing about movies, the best way to spend money and stuff like that. This was probably the most I'd heard X ever talk in a group conversation and I must admit I loved seeing him like this. And it looked like Tommy and him were becoming good friends. Must be a guy thing.
"Listen up, I'm having a party on Saturday," Tommy announced when dinner was almost over.
"For?" I asked.
"My baby and I are celebrating our anniversary," he gazed at her with a full fledged grin.
"Oh."
"And you're all invited. You're welcome." He smiled.
"No thanks, I'll pass. I have stuff." I shrugged.
"Like what?" Reen asked.
"Um, yoga?" I answered lamely.
"You're coming." She stated.
"To get in you have to bring a date though," Tommy added.
"Oh how sad I don't have any," I faked distressed.
"Xavier could be your date," Reena said. I swear I'm going to punch her. "I mean, he's with you all the time so it works out fine. Right Xavier?"
"Sure, no problem." He answered.
"I don't have a date either," Charlie chirped.
"You're too young," Tommy groaned. "Why did I even invite you?"
"Cos you're irresponsible?" I offered.
"Naah, I'm just chilled."

So, I kinda decided there will be a soundtrack for Addicted. Each chapter will have a song that relates to it. You can play the song while reading. Vote and comment x.
