The next morning I woke up before Tom, which was new. He's usually up around 5, but it was now 7 and he was still sleeping.

I decided to let him sleep, getting up as quietly as I could and heading into the bathroom.

Apparently I hadn't been quite enough, because I heard him outside the bathroom yelling 'good lord how do you lose a woman?'

I tried not to snicker, I had so many comebacks for that question but decided to not answer him. When I walked out of the bathroom he looked confused, but didn't say anything.

"How warm am I supposed to dress?"

"Warm, I don't know how to answer that. We might be gone for a while, and we're going to be outside."

"Ok"

I went over to my luggage and started pulling out clothes, heading back to the bathroom to get dressed when I was satisfied that I'd picked out a decent outfit.

"How's this?" I asked, opening the bathroom door

"You look fine, but if I hear the words 'Tom I'm cold' or 'Tom I think I broke my ankle in these boots' I'm going to beat you to death with a tree branch!"

"You look fine, but if I hear the words 'Tom I'm cold' or 'Tom I think I broke my ankle in these boots' I'm going to beat you to death with a tree branch!"

"You'd be the last person I went to for help.... You'd probably let me freeze to death before giving me your jacket or helping me up off the ground in those two scenarios."

He looked hurt and offended at my statement, but didn't say anything, he just got ready to leave.

When he reached out for me after he was ready I walked over to him, taking his hand.

"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings earlier"

"It's fine, why would you think you hurt my feelings?"

"The look on your face when I said I wouldn't come to you if I was hurt."

He made the same face he'd had the first time I'd said it before replying

"It's fine, let's just go."

When we apparated, I thought it was a mistake at first. We were in the middle of nowhere!

We were in the middle of nowhere!
