Caitlyn returned to her pack at nightfall.

"Where have you been?"

Summer asked Caitlyn as she quickly thought of a lie.

"I was taking a run. I'm so stressed out about the whole situation."

Caitlyn said as Summer nodded.

"Kid, I know I should have done things differently five years ago and I have hurt you and mom and dad and tell her and the rest of the pack. But you got to believe me when I say it was not intentional. I did what I thought was best at the time."

Summer said looking at the hurt in her sister's eyes.

"I know you did."

Caitlyn said as she walked into her room.

"Caitlyn is something bothering you, besides the whole, your niece has been kidnapped thing?"

Summer asked as Caitlyn sighed.

"I found my mate."

Caitlyn said quietly as Summer smiled and quicker hugged her.

"That's good news, isn't it? You should be happy with that shouldn't you?"

Summer asked as Caitlyn sighed.

"I guess."

The dread question was next.

"Who is he?"

Summer asked as Caitlyn sighed.

"I can't tell you."

She said honestly as Summer was taken aback. This was her sister. They shared everything. Their spending 4 years apart couldn't ruin that, could it?

"It's okay."

Summer said they ask Caitlyn sighed.

"He didn't reject you did he?"

Summer asked as Caitlyn shook her head.

"No he didn't, but sometimes I wish he did."

Caitlyn said as Summer looked at her sister. Summer saw that her left eye was twitching.

"You are lying about something."

Summer said escaping looking at her in shock.

"I'm not lying about anything."

She lied.

"I don't know if you know this but when you lie your left eye always twitch."

Summer said as Caitlyn closed her eyes.

"Whatever I'm doing I'm doing it to protect those I love."

Caitlyn said as she slammed the door and marched out of the house. Summer took that time to mentally talk to Tyler for the first time.

'Tyler'

'Tyler'

'Yes Summer, is everything okay? It's the first time you're using the mind link with me'

'I know. It's Caitlin, I think she's hiding something.'

'Like what?'

'I don't know just get someone to follow her.'

'Maybe I'm being paranoid?'

'Trust your instinct Summer. I'll be over there later. Will get Essence back I promise.'

'Okay.'

Summer said and she closed the mind link to get some rest.

There was something about the way Summer sounded that made him sure that maybe Chloe was telling the truth. This was a bit suspicious. After the kidnapping of her niece, one would think Aunt Caitlyn would be brokenhearted, but she wasn't. Something just wasn't adding up and that's why Tyler decided he should be the only one that would follow her to wherever she went at night. She knows there is a curfew the after the kidnapping of his daughter, so what was important, in this neck of the woods, is that she would risk her life going into Blood Pack territory. Tyler knew how to mask his sent thanks to the extra training received from his mate. That was something else he had to thank her for and the best way he could do that was by finding their daughter. Tyler watched as Caitlyn walked up to the entrance and walked into the pack grounds. 'Since when did The Dark blood wolves allow members of the Cresent Pack to walk into their well-guarded fortress.' So Chloe was telling the truth, it was Caitlyn, and thanks to her his daughter was going to be locked away in some dungeon. His Sister-in-law is not he was going to tear her to shreds. At least he knew who the mole was and exactly where his daughter might be. There was no use with it for kids when to come out tonight. If he confronted her tonight it might give away the fact that he knew their location, and they might kill a sense as a reprisal. No need to wait for her when he knew exactly where she lived. Sister-in-law is not Caitlyn Smith was going to die.

Caitlyn arrived back home just before dawn. She was happy that her mate hasn't hurt her niece or her mate... yet. It was time she put an end to this. It was time she told Summer and Tyler where Essence was. This wasn't her fight. She mustn't be made to suffer because of others around her and worse because of something she had nothing to do with. She will never know how much those words meant to her. Just then a ferocious black wolf made its way over to her.

"Alpha."

Caitlin said respectfully as Damien growled at her. Her family was just inside the house and heard the commotion. Summer and her parents walked outside.

"What's going on?"

Summer asked as she saw Damon stalking her sister like prey. Damon transformed into Tyler and walked towards Caitlin.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't rip you apart?"

Tyler said as Summer looked at him outraged.

"Tyler, don't you dare talk to my sister that way."

Summer said as Tyler Scoffed

"Sister..., her some sister. Ask her why she was coming from the Blood Pack. Why she was their leader!"

Tyler said as Summer felt her world fall apart

"He's my mate. Alpha Dylan is my mate and he has Essence."

That's when all hell broke loose.
