'I wish you to know that youhave been the last dream of my soul.' -Charles Dickens

Autumn broke away from Logan as if she smelt fire. She tried to straighten her hair as Camille read into the situation.

"So, who's this cute guy mom? Very good taste."

Camille said as Autumn looked at Camille embarrassed.

"An old friend, Logan."

Autumn said as Logan extended his hands to her.

"Camille Grey."

Camille said formally as Logan stifled the urge to pull her into his arms.

"So, how do you and mom know each other?"

Camille asked as Logan decided to keep it as simple as possible.

"Well, we grew up together and I'm Emily's brother. "

Camille looked skeptically from her mother to Logan and then to Emily. The atmosphere of the room has drastically changed. There was one thing bothering her since she arrived here.

"Oh my God."

Camille said as everything came together in her head. It was as if Logan was the missing piece of a huge jigsaw puzzle. Suddenly, all the pieces fit and it all started to make sense in her head.

"I look like you."

Camille said pointing to Emily.

" And you look like him."

Camille said pointing at Logan.

"You're my father. "

Camille said as Emily excused herself and muttered something about dishes in the kitchen.

"Why don't you sit down?"

Logan suggested as Camille figured it was either that or faint

"But how?"

Camille asked as Logan decided to field this one too Autumn.

"We grew up together but we got serious and I got your mom pregnant with you"

Logan said as Camille felt her head spinning.

"So all this time why haven't you been to see me?"

Camille asked angrily as Logan turned to Autumn.

"I think you should field this one. "

Logan said softly as his eyes filled with sadness and regret. He had missed sixteen years of her life. He did get to see any of her first. Her first word...missed that, her first steps...missed that...hell even her first date with a boy. He didn't get to threaten the balls of the man who thought he could take his daughter out. He missed her first ballet recital...
He missed her when she was ill and needed her father there to cuddle. God damn it, Autumn, he missed it all.

"I never told him about you."

Autumn said softly as Camille turned to her.

"I didn't hear what you said. Can you repeat a little louder mom? "

Camille asked as Autumn replied louder.

"I never told him about you."

Autumn said again as Camille got up in tears and rushed into the guest room of Emily's house.

"I better go talk to her."

Logan said as Autumn stopped him.

"No, let her be. She needs time to cool down by herself when she gets like this."
